ok guys.. iv booked my car in, in 2weeks time for them to swap over from sct to vcm suite. my list of mods to date are:

ford flash tuner 2

60 lb injectors

600hp walbo fuel pump

full s/s exforce exhaust with split 3.5in dump to quadtips

Rapid v3.5 intercooler kit

4inch intake

12lb actuator

plenum

77 deg thermo

I am gettin my surge tank done with bigger fuel pump,

getting the front housing changed over to 0.7

the wastegate mod

now what kind of power should I make with this? should I put a harmonic balancer on it? is there anything else other then going to external wastegate and manifold to get to 400rwkw?

Don't bother changing your harmonic balancer.

The factory one is good for a lot more than what you will achieve so would be wasted coin doing it.

your gonna give it a red hot go that's for sure. harmonic balancers dont seem to get much of a mention, but it certainly wouldnt be pretty if it let go. id upgrade as long as the product is definately proven. ask bps, if they recommend it, id do it. I think bcl threw a h/balancer. not sure which car it was on or at what power level.

I am very interested in the SCT v VCM Suite base before any other mods are added.

IE What it makes driving in V what it makes with a VCM tune only

Simon at Xtreme may be able to fill you in on not needing a balancer.

I read somewhere that he changed to an aftermarket unit and made less power and developed a harmonic vibration. He switched back to the factory balancer and power picked back up and the vibration disappeared.

There was also a filmclip of an interview with a bloke at Atomic who explained something about the harmonic balancer. Can't remember where I saw that one though.

Some strong Aftermarket Valve springs will be a good idea. The stock BF springs are quite good, however they will suffer after time. Considering my car felt much stronger at stock power levels with aftermarket springs I think this would be a good upgrade for you.

nice to see that there are more and more people changing to vcm tune .What made you change over ?and who is doing the tune

iv just done a lot more research on the topic and its becoming a way way cheaper option to use vcm and I belive it is easier to tune with it. BPS have done a all my tunning from day one.. and are very happy to keep me.

dam.. was hoping not to fork out money for valve springs.. :(

would I be close to 400 with these mods?
