Experiences With Wireless Internet

I am on the Telsta Wireless 12GB lan. Pay about $60 a month or something.

Its always pretty fast and never have any problems of drop out or anything.

DONT GO VIRGIN WIRELESS!!!!!

I had the absolute worst experience.

6-10 Drop outs per hour...only very quick drop outs but gaming or online banking is BAD.

1 1/2 Hr disconnects on calls is a standard feature (Fair use policy) Donst help when u are on hold for 1 1/2 hrs to tech support because their service is sh*t...happened to me twice in a row. 3hrs on hold but never got thru.

read up on whirlpool and u will see whos any good.

IMHO - If u gt a wired internet it works and pretty much always will (im with TPG)

Wireless depends on Weather and LOTS of other things....If u like the internet and use it for more than 1/2 at a time steer clear of wireless

I had virgin wireless for about 2 weeks and got rid of it..... I was promised the world but they only delivered baghdad.

signal drops out constantly.... I mean at least 3-4 times every hour....

we rang virgin many a time and were given the run around... each time we called we were on hold for over 50 minutes. Then we got the sh*ts again ad rang to complain... we were on hold for 64 minutes.... my wife then picked up the other phone whilst on hold and rang through as a new customer wanting to sign up.... phone was answered within 1 minute... she then said we have been on hold on the phone etc etc and told them to come and pick their shiat up.

Are you guys talking about Mobile Wireless with Virgin or just Wireless internet? So far with Mobile Wireless with Virgin I haven't had any dramas and as I said im a good 100km's out of Melbourne and still getting ADSL 512/ speeds (Gaming however is fairly bad ) But I was told the USB modem is terrible!

Mine WAS the Virgin wireless broadband and home phone package....its shizen

I use unwired, the $99/m deal.

Reception isnt too bad from home, better than my previous ADSL through the crap phone line ( we had massive issues with telstra over the phone line ).

So no land line, Foxtel via sat' and 3 mobiles with HEAPS of credit per month, so seems to be working out fine

This wireless internet stuff is gonna cause heaps of health problems.

My mate used to laugh at me when I told him that mobile phones are are health problem and to stop calling me on my mobile and to use a land line for a chit chat. I couldnt care less what he did but I always minimise my mobile phone use.

Well Charles Teo took a Head Tuma out of him last month. Located behind his ear where the antenna sits on the side that he talks. I think he believes me now. He has lost hearing and face function on one side of his head.
