Hmm I would find it VERY hard to believe that Ford would delete the LSD. Generally speaking, they dont go backwards in specification - esp on the ute given it has no traction control available either.

According to the Ford web site it is still a standard feature of the XR6T and XR8, and optional extra across the rest of the Ute range.

Putting neck on line here.........No way would Ford remove the LSD, especially from the XR range!

When I bought my beloved EL XR6 I was gob smacked that the S Commadore had the LSD as an option! (standard in the SS), how cheap is that from the Red Lion, and the local Expensive Daewoo dealer tried to tell me the XR6 was the S equivelent, but when you compared the two the XR6 was closer to the SS than the S

l wouldnt be suprised if they did Mr Hawk, apparently Ford are deleting the option to buy the optional alloy spare, you can only have it if you order Premium brakes. Talk about trying to save every last cent, in this case by efficiency improvements.

Dropping the LSD as standard may not bother a lot of customers so Ford may figure they can 'get away with it'.

I think the T is more closer and should be compared to the HSV clubsport.

What does a LSD do?

Why is it good to have?

How does it work?

... seriously? :)
