See Des it's all just to easy...no where did I mention dealers in this thread on Niggly faults which should never actaully leave the factory but buggalugs ere wacks on the salesmans hat and will defend it to the death...

What about driveline shunt, the new FPV's have me interested but not if the arse clunks away like a flogged out old Leyland.

So..... You are saying that because of a few cosmetic faults, the car is no good?

I mean, come on. Every brand have litlle cr*ppy issue/faults like those.

There is only one thing ford really need to do to improve the car : The dam central locking/ door actuators! aaargh! please tell me they use a new part!

how come? I havent heard/read of a single drama with those. is there a commonish problem here Im not aware of?

On the early BA's there was. Terri's too.

I remember cars being bought in with gaffa tape holding to door shut because the actuator failed and the door would 'fly' open.

Ford did a re-work for the Series 2 BA. But like any device, sometimes, they fail for no good reason.
