  • A week or so ago my little (19yo) brother was being a pain in the arse to middle brother.   Now LB is always leaving his sh*t lying around, wallet, keys, shoes, whatever. An hour or so later

  • Update.    It was benign.   I guess I got lucky.

Hey random iPhone question..

While attempting to update the missus' iPhone.. It just f*cked up completely.. Gonna get a new one as it needs replacing anyway.. But do photos backup in the iPhone sync/backup thingy?

#60618

My iPhone 3GS f*cked up completely. Just wouldn't turn on, iTunes refused to recognize it, I couldn't even format the damn thing. And yet I was still able to rescue my photos, as the computer recognized it as an external drive. Would have lost them otherwise, as I hadn't backed the phone up for 6 months.

More recently, when I upgraded from the 4 to the 5, all the photos that were in the camera roll of the old phone ended up on the new phone, as iTunes had backed up (almost) the whole phone. Ones that were in abums though, I lost. Apparently they're not transferable.

Hope that helps.

Yeah.. Wife has a 3GS.. It's completely bricked itself.. Won't even recognise as an external drive..

And despite me harping on about it, it wouldn't of been synced with the computer since the last time I did it..

Tried DFU mode.. No dice..

Looks like a trip to Telstra tomorrow for a 5 and a trip to the apple store for the 3GS..
