Can't say exactly (secret squirrel stuff until its launched in mid august).

Basically I've been working for ING Direct for about 18months in the Operations/Account opening section. Applied for a job on my career which appeared to be for a similar role elsewehere.

Essentially it is but with much better career progression opportunities & more pay (Base salary of $51k plus bonuses & overtime etc). New organisation starting up & will get to build the bank from launch into hopefully a very successful player in the market.

on the topic of jobs kevin rudd gave me the final kick in the teeth today.

due to his alcohol tax demand for rtd`s has fallen to the point where a sydney plant is no longer needed to maintain supply.

the big boss came today handing out envelopes so now im unemployed after 9 years service.

I think the damage is already done, people are now accustomed to not buying RTDs. Instead you buy a bottle of spirits, bottle of mixer, and get three times as smashed for half as much.....makes loads of farkin sense doesn't it

yes I got a more than fair payout and pro rata long service.

the tax is pretty much set in stone now they were waiting for a recent senate sitting to plead there case.

I had an idea it was going bad but thought they would stick it out a bit longer, anyway life goes on.
