Is it acceptable to have a golf bag and different branded golf clubs

Eg

I like this Nike bag... But I most likely won't have any Nike branded clubs ... Etc etc

You should see my golf clubs.

The bag was given to me but I had no clubs so I went around to all the op shops (St Vinnies, Salvation Army etc) and bought each club until I had a full set.

They cost me like $5 bucks each.

There's not 2 of the same brand in the whole lot.

I only play when there's beer on offer and I used to get paid out on heaps!

That's until I started winning a few rounds against guys with their fancy smancy carbon fibre u-beaut wanker clubs.

I can diffinitly call my drivers "woods "[emoji6]

But I got a beginner set from my mum middle of last year and I have almost already outgrown some of the clubs, eg my driver and wedges and putter

So I was going to grab a new Nike bag (coz I fancy the lime green and white one, as mines a tad impractical and I hate that it doesn't have full length dividers)

And then use my hybrids and irons and just slowly get a new driver, putter etc.

so it will be a mixed bag.

I couldn't give a shat Really, I just didn't know if it was sac relig to put a callaway driver in a Nike bag lol

Driving home from pt Lincoln, after watching late night Foxtel in the hotel me and jet got suckered in again.

If you upgrade your clubs as you need you'll do a lot better than buying a whole new set.

Pays to go into a proshop and try different clubs.

Seen blokes with different brand 3 and 5 hybrids just because they liked the feel of the different clubs.

Another thing to be cautious of is if the clubs are being sold as 'distance' clubs usually it means they shaved a couple degrees off the face. Effectively makes an 8, a 7 when it comes to distance. Not that the clubs hit a special distance. You can get spec sheets though.

Also for your driver. Try everyone you can get your hands on.. they didn't have my driver in stock but they gave me a go of one that is 'exactly the same'.. Bulls hit.

It took ages for me to get used to the new driver.

I am pretty lucky as I have the rep from acushnet at my work, (they represent titliest etc) and he can get me a session trying out all brand clubs to see what I hit best with.

Ye used to work for Foxtel and get it free, not anymore though :( lol
