Another random thing I've found is sometimes I just get a bodgey drawing file. So if I copy everything out to a new dwg, it works fine..But I haven't had many issues since going to civil3d and revit 2013.. There's no xrefs or blocks and there's only 1 line type in the drawing. I've redrawn it 4 times so far this morning...
