I did not move from a T to a TTG, but I have a F6 and a TTG and prefer to drive the TTG.

l am with Zap, as a fellow TTG owner l prefer to drive it to my T3 TS50. We just got back from a 3000km roadtrip with the kids and had the rear loaded to the roof, the TT did not miss a beat and still had enough grunt to blow most cars of the road. An edit is very tempting but fixing that ZF scares the hell out of me

Is it the high driving position that makes you feel like King?

or perhaps the extra ground clearance that takes the worry out of driveways and parking stoppers?

or maybe the great throttle response that people talk of?

or is it the sleeper looking stationwagon/4wd thing where you get to surprise people at the lights each day?

I would be interested to know what makes it a preferable drive

For me it is the Power, high driving position, the safety of the AWD, DSC and airbags oh and the POWER

I have had far more traffic light GP's and won in the TTG than the F6.

The kids also like the power and shout out boost when we plant it.

I would expect a TTG that has been debunged would be on par with a XR6T up to 100km/h, so they are no slouch.

I just need to convince the wife we need soem BFII F6 19" stock wheels, as I think they would look great.

This is the main reason for me, the throttle response and excellent ZF auto make a great combination. They handle better than you would expect too, its nice having a large cargo area and the option of 7 seats plus all the safety systems Zap mentions. The quality of our TTG surpasses any Ford we have ever owned and there has been a few, not one niggle no matter how trivial in 15000km. Never said that for any other previous Ford, l think there was more effort put into getting the Terri right when first released as it was such a big risk for Ford to bring it to market.

l love mine and will happily upgrade into an FPV version when the time comes, no other car ticks so many boxes in one neat package.

Yesterday I picked up my TTG, white, 7 seater, bluetooth, ipod, and a few other bits and peices. Traded a 2006 MK2 XR6T - custom tune and K&N filter. Gota say that the terry feels sluggish at this point compare to the V slightly modded XR6T. However, the ride is very nice - firm but not harsh - very re-assuring actually. It is much quieter then the Falcon on road. I have a few km's of twisty stuff just near my home and I went that way this afternoon. You know it is a big, heavy car when you throw it about - the falcons does handle this better , HOWEVER, the turbo terry is still very good for what it is. I tried pretty hard to see if the DSC would acitivate, but if it did it was very unabtrusive. AS a family truckster I do not think you will find ANYTHING better within a $50,000 premium over the terry. The kids love it, the wife is very impressed and I just know with a tune from C&V in a couple of weeks time (plus injectors, bung removal and gapped plugs), it will be a top family performace ride.

In short - I am really happy with the the purchase.

Just slightly off topic, would love to see some photos of white terry's with black 20 inch rims fitted ( or any terr's with black rims actually). The reason I hijacked this post a little is that I use to be able to post new threads but now I can't - not sure of the problem. If anyone can point me in the right direction in this regard I would appreciate it. thanks
