I just came back from my Ford dealer just to get some small warranty stuff fixed before I get my mods done. I have an edit with generic tunes atm, I flashed it back to standard before I went. When I dropped the car off the dealer told me that they would have to do something with the computer check for updates or something. He asked me if the car had been modified and I said no. Can they find out about the edit? I hope there will be no problems....

No mate. If you flashed it back to standard there will be no problems with your pcm and Ford wont be able to tell you have a flash tuner.

They will know when he flashed back the stock tune next time as it will be an older version that the one they have just put on.

If Ford have upgraded youre factory tune then you'll lose it when you put one of your generic tunes back in and then the factory tune. You see the factory slot is empty when you 1st get it and only saves the tune in there once when you install the generic tune. So what youre doing is clobbering the new factory tune with the old one. Ford will then know that you have edit. Id advise that you send the box back to capa and ask them to unlock it which will then allow you to capture the new factory tune in the capa box. Confused?

* get capa to unlock it

* then upload the new factory map to the boxs

then drive away lol.

if capa unlock your box then dont you loose your custom tunes??

spose its ok if your running generic tunes..

also isn't there a fee for unlocking them?

You loose the custom tunes,there is a fee for this,and you can only do it 5 times before the edit box has to go back to sct in the usa.
