Hi members,

I have been shooting around this site for a while now, and it seems fitting to ask now as I have sold my car and it is finally time for purchase. I really do like the XR6 T but it seems from the forums their are alot of bugs. Should I be cautious in buying any particular version... manual ? auto ? 2004 onwards less buggy ect...

Any wisdom would be great.

Even the best cars have problems, the best, as with most cars are the later models. if you are in to modding and big power stay away from the 5speed other than that they are much the same

These days I think Ford are more likely to replace rather than repair so you should be safe. '04 auto sounds like a good choice, certainly lots to choose from. As for bugs, the Turbos have had their issues, but as a model are extremely solid.

Oh, your driveline may clunk but that's a Ford NCO.

The bugs are always outshone by the silly grin on your face :spoton:

Essentially buy the youngest vehicle you can afford as they are constantly updating and reconfiguring from the production line, rather than waiting for major model name changes\releases.

As far as warranty service goes unfortunately it all falls back on the willingness of your dealer - like any make though.

Mate BA Mk ii if a manual, or try and get a six sped auto if auto is desired.
