Whoa nellie!

After last weekend, I was keen to find a dyno that could handle the XC's output, and I was very lucky to also have a quick clean up tune done on the girl too.

Final Result was 439.8kw atw at 4750rpm, or near enough to 600hp at the treads. The blower has run out of capacity over 5000rpm, so im ordering another one on Monday from CAPA. The current blower can push out roughly 1350cfm of air, the newie pumps 1850cfm. Hopefully that will be enough! If not, ill go bigger!

And all of this with a standard 4 speed single rail gearbox! Not sure how much longer that is going to last....

A huge thanks to Kit and the team at Gen-Tech, those blokes even though they specialise in LS1's, still made the figures I wanted, and it drives like a dream.

Stay tuned for higher numbers.......

No vid of the big fella on the rollers unfortunately, the only other bloke who heard it at full song was Saleen. He was on the phone listening in when Kit was checking the mixtures... It doesnt really sound that much different to DBOSS's car.... :spoton: V8's at 6000rpm, the noise is incredible!

I thought I remembered everything this morning, but I forgot the bloody camera!

We havent finished yet! That certainly isnt the last time the big fella jumps on the rollers, once the new Vortech arrives from CAPA he's going straight back on!

And then ill promise to take some video footage!

Gotta go buy a new slave cylinder, I think I melted the factory one today......

600hp at the wheels hey? Well, I'm about 1/3 of the way there :spoton:

Sounds like she's one tough XC mick, but I thought you S/C was good for about eleventy squillion horsepower? And how the HELL can you drive that on a single rail when I busted three in a Carby XF?

Can't wait to see the beast.

Lumpy :omg:

That is a wicked result... what a weapon that will be on the road.

What Vortech are you upgrading to? It must just sound unbelievable with note of the V8 and crazy whine of the Vortech... they are one loud a blower as it is...

Get a video up of it and post that up ms700...

Jack
