April 26, 200620 yr #1 I have recently removed the intercooler piping from the intake crossover to the turbo and have noticed a bit of oil residue inside the piping and drops of oil inside the turbo in front of the blades. Could this be normal or is it a sign the bearings are going?Any advise would be appreciated.CheersScott

April 27, 200620 yr #4 Also, blow-by from the rocker cover will allow small amounts of oil to be returned to the intake pipework, which is quite normal and being oil helps keep everything protected from corrosion and wear and tear.

Not too many plastic/rubber pipes and aluminium plenums needing oiling these days....Oil Catch can is what's needed... $120 or so. Filters the air from pcv b4 going back into engine.
April 27, 200620 yr #6 True dat... but if they didnt fit one at the factory I can't imagine it being that necessary. I had one on the last car as it also removed condensation.
April 27, 200620 yr #8 Correct. Not needed... At factory boost levels!!!!!←So Ben is a catch can a recommended requirement for boosted T's.I would hate to waste my money on feeding the kids if the $$are better spent on the car
