January 30, 200620 yr #21 For maximum effect, Put it in 3rd, then rev her up and dump the clutch, Instant smoke haze.. I'm yet to drop it into 4th, but I'll try at the next meeting.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I think he wants the tyres to smoke... not the clutch
January 30, 200620 yr #22 Put the front half of your foot on the brake, and the back half on the accelerator. rev and drop the clutch. Pin your foot to the brake pedal whist massaging the throttle as to not keep hitting the limmiter.1st gear will not generate much smoke. 2nd is ok though..For maximum effect, Put it in 3rd, then rev her up and dump the clutch, Instant smoke haze.. I'm yet to drop it into 4th, but I'll try at the next meeting.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>unless you got a damn good clutch the only thing you will get smoking in 3rd is clutch plate!!
January 30, 200620 yr #23 yep its a manual, this heal and toe stuff would take a bit of getting used to, I just enjoy having a rear wheel drive again! In the 5.7 I managed to smoke the wheels once and that was because I was going up a hill!Burnouts have never been my strong point, but its a good time to start learning.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Dont worry about the heal and toe. If you want to do a line locker in a manual just dump the clutch with enough revs and instantly put your left foot on the brake and control the throttle. It will probably take about 2-3 times before you can gauge what revs you need to stop the stalling and really smoke the rears.Robbie.
