I'd like to see:

* Factory stereo support for MP3s

* Vehicle to be lighter (perhaps an aluminium block would take care of this)

* A flatter shaped roof

* Footwell lights standard

* LED rear lights

* Spoiler delete factory option AND bootlid lip spoiler option.

* Return the most popular colors such as Blueprint

The main thing they need to do is take some weight out. Even if they could drop 200 kg's across the whole range it would make a huge difference.

MP3 support should also be a must.

I would also like to see the N/A XR6 receive some more power to differentiate it from the XT a bit more and make it more than a XT with a body kit. All previous XR6's had a little more power, bugger all but it was still a point of difference. 200kw's should do the trick. I would also give the Fairmont ghia 200kw’s to make it more of a sports/luxury package like it used to be.

I think the boss motors are crying out for more power. I would like to see the XR8 go to 280kw, GT to 320kw. And you can’t have the XR8 with the same power as the F6 so F6 to 290kw and XR6T to 260kw. The car’s are more than able to cope with these power upgrades and still remain totally composed for day to day driving

If ford could do that as well as dropping some weight then we might finally be able to take the sales fight to Expensive Daewoo for a change. Ever since the launch of BA basically every motoring writer/magazine has acknowledged the falcon as a better car than it’s Late model camira equivalent. Prices are similar yet we still get flogged in the sales?

For the price point that the Falcon is in, you will not see a reduction in weight for many years. Reducing weight while giving us all the bells and whistles and safety gear will cost heaps as they would need to use more costly materials like Carbon Fibre and Aloys.

Seeing the new details on the VE Crumpledore being 230kg heavier shows us that to have a good package takes a lot of weight, even the M5 is 1800kg and they use the best engineering to reduce weight.

Unless they start to make the body shells out of reinforced plastic, I do not see how they can save much weight, even a alloy engine block would only reduce the weight by 20-30kg.

MP3 ability of the ICC would be a must, it should be in the BF's as it is now becoming standard on cheap asian cars.

The most important thing for Ford to do is ensure they have a quiet driveline

Love the BA/BF but if they could move away from the AU main chasis shape, doors...etc., it would be a nice change. The AU is still a nice car but 3 models? Time to move on, that's usually the pattern. (XA,XB,XC), (, XE XF), (EA, EB, ED)...etc.

Reduce weight if possible but yeah, agree, that's not an easy call. They would probably sacrifice build quality if they put the next design on too much of a diet. MP3 support and more utilisation and functionality of the ICC and the LCD screen would be good. Completley new dash and interior design, go away fro the cheapish plastic look, go for something more like the AU had.

How about just putting the buttons where we could see them would be a start.

Love mine, lol, 2 T/C buttons for the price of one. One situated in the normal place, LHS behind the steering wheel (lol, out of view but you know it's there) and the one on the bottom LHS of the Lux. pack ICC,

Loose about 300KG, bigger bigger brakes with 4 spots across the range.

MP3 stereo and loose the AU roofline.

Another option for the T's ie; different bonnet

And steel wheels as a -$1000 option (for after market wheels)

And maybe stay with series for 2 years minimum

And keep the price down a bit.
