February 20, 201412 yr #28261 I was reading on the AFF about their planned cruise for March and one of the guys mentioned about the activation of the cameras in the tunnel. As far as I am aware, the cameras have been working for a while as surveillance cameras.I suspect they are referring to the fact that they are now activated as speed cameras as well. There was mention that the police announced this as well. A Google search did not yield any RECENT results.Thoughts?
February 20, 201412 yr #28264 Also is there any more info at all on that car that crashed last night? I haven't had any luck
February 20, 201412 yr #28265 Well it might be time to take out my radar detector from the cupboard and go for a drive through the tunnel. That will tell me something.
February 20, 201412 yr #28266 Number plate recognition cameras won't trigger your detector, pretty sure they mean point to point average speed measurement system active?
February 20, 201412 yr #28267 I have no idea what they have activated, but something has been done as per the cruise thread on AFF.Anyways, anyone looking for an XCAL3 in Perth?http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-SCT-X3-FLASH-TUNER-3000AU-FG-XR6T-Ford-Falcon-Turbo-/271401656411?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f30cca05b
February 20, 201412 yr #28268 Thoughts?Just like with any other any speed measuring device or camera, stick to the speed limit and should be all good
February 20, 201412 yr #28269 Or make sure you are doing an epic skid all the way through so the smoke covers your plates. Including the front...must be truly epic.
February 20, 201412 yr #28270 Question for the car smart folk out there..... whats the deal with Xcal-3's and being used, unlocks etc. Eg.... is that worth buying
