Yeah, decided to give Monsta Torque a go, partly due to convenience from my work in (heh) Northbridge but also I wanted a few things double checked, like the tune, possible boost leaks and also to have a second opinion on my trans tune (because I don't know what it's supposed to feel like).

Based on my first visit to them last week, I was very happy with their attitude and willingness to discuss my concerns thoroughly.

Not only that, but just to make it more convenient for me, they are going to service the car on a Saturday.

How's the trans feeling Phil? Still debating on if I should get mine done to try and fix up the remaining shift issues 1-2 and 3-4. I had flawless smooth shifts last night under part throttle from 1st all the way to 5th which reminded me what it was like stock, which I miss, but the built box isn't likely to feel stock again. Just clunky on some changes at some throttle levels. I think I read about getting the trans memory wiped by a ZF specialist through Ford, I think mine is stuck in bad habits from me driving it slipping for so long. Spoke to Simon and the friction material was completely gone on my clutch packs in some gears, metal on metal and thus the ZF was clamping farkin hard in order to make it hold.

Re the cruise, I've been roped into driving my fiance to her friend's hen's night tonight, once she's awake I'll see what times I'm needed and try to fit the cruise around those! Might end up in my car anyway...

Pretty sure I spotted Murdok in his back FG yesterday too, on Great Eastern Highway Bypass? Driver looked like him as I rolled past but didn't get another look.

Also those who are keen on cruising, where would we prefer to meet/drive?

If you are interested in an arvo cruise (at this stage I'd say still around 2 or 3pm) post up your suburb, if we have a few people we'll organise the meet point and I'll quickly make a simple map.

Well I might have an excuse to get out as I have to go and pickup a booster seat in woodlands. Letus know where ya meet up and what time, if a pm is sent.

It's okay Steve, I'm used to it thumping through the gear changes now and at some times it's more noticeable than others.

I plan to get MT to pay attention the trans tune when they road test the car to see what they they think of how it's set.

If they says it's okay and it's what I need to live with to have the box survive 500+ hp then that's fine, I'll live with it.

You've already done the flex plate so maybe ask em how much they slug for the clutch packs and input shaft for future purposes cause the built box has a firm shift but theres no thumping between gears..

Not enough interest for a late notice cruise (was a long shot) so I'm gonna stay home and out of the sun!
