Nick, having spent extensive periods of time in Japan, and knowing major core manufacturers there eg Calsonic, Ueto etc. I can suggest that this is not in fact a Japanese product. However I may be wrong

No attack. No apology. Its just obvious from your picture that a generic intercooler has been used with one end tank cut in half turned upside down and tacked back into place. It wasnt an attack, it was a question...and in all my time spent in Japan I have never seen a core like that. Nothing more to it, dont be so paranoid.

well that picture is actually not the cooler that some of you have ordered and to be honest that cooler is a chineese hybrid style core imported by monza autotechnica yes the autobahn type brand!!

the picture is actually the sample in progress for their bolt in kit that I developed and that is being tested for them now!!!

it is though a copy of the jap core that I use and is the chineese core that I use also if you care to check out my advertisements on other forums I list both!!!!

anyway all going well they should be on the market soon and for chineese seem almost the same quality as the jap ones I choose to use just for sanity's sake!!!!

if required ill post pics of both cores and also the eventual monza core all are good and better than stock all should return similar results just quality and price change!!!!

the reason I posted the sample was there coming from os and there not here yet hence no pics yet but soon im promised!!! I have some interim coolers that I am making for those who cant wait these are using taiwaneese cores but labour intensive and hence not cheap aprox $900

Nothing wrong with the China coolers. I've been running 1 on my Cefiro with RB26DETT for a while and it coolers very well. That was in 600x300x75. My ceffy's making over 450rwhp @ 1.2bar for reference
