April 21, 200323 yr #11 turbo6man> As I do not posess a T as yet and egaerly awaiting I have a question to those people who have warpped discs are the discs warping due to heat or are they simply wearing the pad un evenly I know on the older cars when they use to make a rotor the use to make it 25 mill and shave off 5 mill or so know apparently they making em around 22 mill and only cutting off 2-1 mill my mesurments may be wrong but you get the idea hence this may leave sand resedue on the rotors which cause the pads to unevenly ware .. I am not to sure what is happening on the ba but I have heard stories from those people whom own a skumadore and that was there issue ... if that is the case prolly dba will be the only option till ford replace their stock of rotors.....
April 21, 200323 yr #12 I find that using metallic pads which are agressive on the disc get rid of any brake shudder regardless of the make of the disc (ie ford or DBA) (the pads skim the brake surfaces constantly). Currently I used Ultimates but they wear the disc heaps. But since I hate pulsating pedals this is my fix. I also have good braking and pads dont wear as quick.Discs have to be changed about every 2 to 3 pad changes.

April 28, 200323 yr #18 Scott,Just a warning, if you are planning on upgrading the brake pads at some stage I recommend sticking with medium performance pads like Bendix Performax or Ultimates. These still work well with DBA Gold's *in my experience of 3 sets*. I bought a full set of DBA gold's for my EB, got them on a show special price of $110 each. Was stoaked with how much better they were than standard, then when it was time to shop around for new pads I went after some EBC Green Stuff pads. Checked with DBA, and they said Yeah, they'll work fine with DBA Gold. 5 weeks later I'd had the disc's machined 3 times. Spoke to some brake specialists who told me DBA Gold's are mild performance, and EBC greenstuff and high performance. The pads were just too good for the rotors. Anyways went back to Performax and didn't have any more probs.Anyways just a little 'heads up' incase you were thinking of going that way. Other than that they were great rotors, got heaps of looks cos I had REALLY open mags on that falc. Will find a pic and post it at somestage.
April 28, 200323 yr #19 Author thanks goose,I know the DBA rotors are not high performance and I have no intention of doing any track work. I intend using standard pads. I like the feel of the DBA's and think they will be fine for higher performance street use.
April 28, 200323 yr #20 Hi,They look good - and I know they are a huge improvement over the standard ones, but I am with CnC - they are NOT a premium brake alternative - they are a standard brake alternative.Do you know the part numbers for them?
