Any suggestions on a cooler that is good bang for buck?

BTW I cannot afford the APS one, I would like to find one that fits into the existing mounts of the factory one if anyone has any suggestions. :spit:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Working on one at the moment.

Using factory mounts and plumbing :gooff:

Give me a week or so and I should have something that will help you out :spit:

Macka

I think there are a few of us modded boys who would also appreciate something along the same lines. Please keep us posted :gooff: Is there the potential for a group buy if all pans out according to plan?

The edit is a great product which takes us further into the technology stakes however, there are bugs/issues such as this that must be ironed out, otherwise if I am boost spiking and this is holding me back, I then need to start changing components to get around the issues, I am no further ahead than I was with the piggyback.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Dont be too quick to blame the software. Its just a tool.

How did Bruce get around it seeing he has a larger intercooler and actuator mods?

Steve that's how he did actually get around it if that makes sense? :piece:

Ok, forgive me for being slow here, but are you saying that with the larger cooler and actuator mods he overcame any problems?

Also, are you running 300rwkw with the standard cooler? Are the intake temps ok?

Yes Steve that is how you can overcome the problems, by changing those 2 components.

At the moment we are around 300rwkw with the standard cooler which we know is at it's limit. The obvious next step is the cooler as after 2 runs on the dyno we start to go backwards.

Any suggestions on a cooler that is good bang for buck?

hi jb as I did speak to you about but the reason why I changed the intercooler and turbo mods was I knew this is what was required to get over 300kw with out these sort of problems which I did some time ago I think you have done well to get what you have at this point the other reason it to get consistant power every time :fishin:

Yeah you are right Bruce, it is not a matter of changing it, it is now at the point that it must be changed.

As indicated I am looking for a solution that works, is cost effective, and can hopefully fit into the existing mounts. My aim with my T is to be able to return it back to stock. This is the approach I have always taken with my modded turbo cars.

Thanks again for your help mate, this is the stuff that makes this forum a great place. :w00t2:

Yeah I think they do, but apparently there has been a couple of forum members that have tried one and have gone backwards in power? :pooh:

XRSex being one of them.

Maybe that was the old style twin pass PWR intercooler. The newer one definately looks better. I'm deciding whether to go for one of them or a Rajab Racing one.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

bruce also has shortened his plumbing and replaced broadband nanifold with plenum style.very consistant outputs.
