Fair enough. In my experience tuning my old car (VT GENIII) AFR's were between 12.6 - 12.8. I would have thought with a F/I setup mid 11's to flat 12 AFR would have ensured good power while keeping EGT at sane levels.

If 12's work then that's fine

Hi,

Had the edit (CAPA) for approx. 4 weeks now on my 04 XR6T auto running no problems. Only mod has been replacing the stock air box with the XR8/GT pod filter with Barry Batten's dual air in take adaptor (plus BMC pod filter).

Had auto trans and diff fluid replaced with Redline High Temp ATF and Diff 80W140 oil (plus flush radiator and add Redline water wetter, distilled water only - no glycol).

Dyno results (D&T Performance - Perth)

177 rwkw (stock)

206 rwkw (8psi) - 29 kw gain

228 rwkw (10psi) - 50 kw gain

No issue's so far....

What does the 10psi feel like when you rev it out, is it better than the 8psi, doesn't feel wierd at the top where the boost is cut?

What does the 10psi feel like when you rev it out, is it better than the 8psi, doesn't feel wierd at the top where the boost is cut?

there shouldnt be a boost cut just a rev limiter if tuned right

I have just spoken to Rob @ HPF. The CAPA edit software arrived there today. I don't believe that HPF will be selling the flasher on its own as Rob isn't a big fan of generic tunes in performance cars. It's possible that at some stage he might try it on my car to see how it goes.

This is great for all the guys with the edit as a proven BA tuner with runs on the board is now available in Melbourne to do quality custom tunes.

I have no more boost cut no more limiter in the way no more stalling or idle issues, my tourqe has just about doubled what it was before

I will let you guy no a power figures once I have changed a few more bits and peices as the car is blowing cooler pipes off and the rubber hoses just wont do anymore

That sounds pretty good, do you have dyno results to back up the torque figure or is it a feel in driving? please dont take this question as an attack, but there has been so much crap over this thing, seeing some real results on modded cars is great.

Could you give us a brief outline of other the mods you have done to your car please.

Also could you tell us who did your tune and how much $$$ was it to get it done.

Thanks for the reply, Please dont think I was having ago, just wanted to know if it was acctual or seat of the pants, 100nm sounds great, I hope it is there right through the rev range for you.

I saw the rajab in you details, but I thouight it was a piss take acronim of some sort, not a real company, sorry.

that's cool with the mods, I havnt told all about mine either, and dont plan to.
