How about"have you driven a ford you can afford latley without diff clunk"

or ,,drive line shunt at no extra cost...

or ,,when overtaking ,please close your eyes,its safer...

or ,,brake squeel that is on par with fords after sale service;both give you the sh!ts

I will only see ford service for major warranty issues.

So ms700 are you saying once you are on the list, you can never get off it ?

I have only had the Unichip in for a few weeks, Ford cannot hold this against me for the 5 year warranty. If this is the case I will be asking for a full refund on my extended warranty I paid for.

My mate is going thru hell with Expensive Daewoo at the moment with his engine...Piston slap in a V6 is apparently normal for a 10,000km engine

He kicked up a stink and was told to off by the dealer and escorted of the premises....Called Expensive Daewoo direct and a techie came out to see the car...Verdict...that's normal ..Legal action pending

It's not just Ford its the whole motor industry...

Stuff this warranty thing..if Ford are going to continue this spiel about how its within tolerance e.g diffs,gearboxes/transmissions....then mod the sh!t out your beast...it does three things

1.gets rid of your bank account

2.gets you divorced :w00t:

3.puts an endless grin on your face

End of the day....you play,you pay....but to all the stock owners to have this crap service and continual bad blood with customers will bring all GP's good work undone

but if my mod T lunches the gearbox/diff I ain't going to run to ford for the warranty...

I'd rather repair it myself!...At least it will be fixed the first time not 3 attempts later

I'm with you....couldn't see much use gettting Ford to put another sh!tty trans/diff in it myself....as the years go by people with quick T's will have strengthened most of the drivelines themselves....just a matter of solutions coming out

Concerning the mods and not the driveline issue are Ford not just stating the obvious - they cannot and will not accept responsibility for the failure of parts that are non-standard when fitted - fair enough...and they will not accept liability for failures in the system directly attributable to the fitment and use of non-standard Ford parts. From an unemotional perspective is that so bad? SUrely no one reasonably expects them to take responsibility for every backyard project and its potential outcomes.

Hey Dingah I think we all agree with that statement, mine has the probs before I go and mod it, and in a ideal world I would like to get them fixed before I go ahead with the mods, however that all seems to be a pipeline dream now.

The only problem I have down the track is that if I have gearbox probs I will never know if it was due to the ongoing whine I had prior to the mods installation, or the increased power itself.

At the end of the day I just wanted my car bug free before I started, then if I did blow something then I take full responsibility for the mods I have made.

I'll have some mod news of my own to report in a couple of days...

But I can say now that one of the most compelling reasons that I've had my car at a tuning workshop for the last few days is that I'm sick of trying to get it fixed by Ford !

After taking the car back to Ford every few months for performance issues, and getting nowhere, it looks like I've finally found someone that can diagnose a fault on a car, find the cause and fix it !

The final straw was the flaring gearbox - I called the dealership that sold me the car, tried to book it in and was told "we don't do gearboxes, try phoning 'round the other dealers, we think that the guys at Parramatta might do them" - this from one of the largest dealerships in Sydney...

It's cost me some $$$, but considering that I'm not going to be back at Ford every 6 weeks (on average), I think that I'm on to a winner !

And Ford's "no fault codes" WDS can pucker up !

They can't even fix an exhaust rattle on mine

Your comments are fair dingah, but what happens when a component fails that is connected with the mod. eg, gear box. Now ford will say, its because of the power upgrade and leave it at that, but forum members have experienced gearbox problems in stock cars, so its then upto ford to prove it was the mod that caused it, and we all know how long that will take.
