Let me have a stab in the dark re "A" grade build..

I can not see Ford building anything any different on the production line. I think this (A grade build) may be a way to get orders pushed up the production list in order to meet a dead line. I can not see how this would change the quality of the end product. They still just grab trim, engine, diff, Diff clunk, Tail shaft off the rack and stuff it in. I can not see that they would have a "A" reserve of bits for the "Special cars"

My 2c..

Maybe if it's classed as "A Grade" the peoples on the assembly line know it's something special, maybe for a Ford exec, and hopefully they take a bit more care putting it together. Not that putting it together carefully will affect diff clunk....

Yeah, thinking about it further, I believe that the manufacturers of the components would have to grade them, I.e like I have found out about the grading of the diffs, and when it goes through the production line, the car is to get the highest grade components installed like the diff beinga grade 10, gearbox, engine and so on?

Just a thought

l find it astonishing that you can spend $50k plus on a car and still get what ever crap rolls of the production line. But if you are an exec you can request a graded car. FFS :censored:

Mondie, I am still unsure about it....

The way I see it though, I was meant to keep Gadan for 4 more years. My current lease is going to be paid out, and I will initiate a new two year lease for the same price as I'm currently paying.

So in a round about of way I'm not really paying for a new car, the insurance company is.

So I'm thinking of giving Ford another go. They're not all lemons, and that is obvious by the amount of happy people on this forum.

I loved the XRT concept, comfortable sedan with plenty of power. This is exactly what I look for in a car at the moment. I'm sure I can live with whatever issues for two years till I get a new car.

In two years I might be looking in a totally different market. Starting to get interested in 4x4's. But that is a long way off :)
