I cant decide which looks better. I currently have the sports bars but I am sick and tired of always undoing my tonneau cover. Hardcover, a company that makes ute hardcovers sell a hardcover that fit around sports bars but costs over $2000.

What's so hard about undoing your torneau? A hardcover still has to be undone if you want to put something in there doesn't it? I reckon the torneau would be easier as you only have to lift a small section if you only want to put in a small object whereas the whole hardcover has to be raised even for one grocery bag. Also you can put objects which are higher than the ute sides in with the torneau and still have the rest of the load area covered whereas the hardcover has to left raised.

there a few factors involved

appearance >>>

colour ..... the sports bar looks awesome on Black but ordinary on Blood Orange

practicalities >>>

livestock ..... do you have a dog ?? ..... hardcovers are tough on dogs

dry ..... do you need to keep the back dry .... I leave the tonneau at home :)

secure ..... go the hardcover

I hate the tonneau on a cold winter's day .... fingers get mangled :censored:

*** stupid comment approaching ***

Don't forget that the sports bar would be a good idea if you are planning on rolling your ute!

That was actually suggested to me the other day.

:)IMHO sports bars make the ute look too squat [not long enough]an the hard cover in my colour is too much colour. So good old black torneau for me.

Hard cover for me!

Depends on what you use your ute for. And what you carry around.

Its not hard to remove the hard cover once fitted.

I like the looks of both.... I have the hard cover for one reason only which is security... If I need to take it off, its only a 5 min job.

I got the hard cover so I could leave my work gear in the back without worrying, but I think I still would have got one anyway, they look spot on, not a fan of the wing on them but each to their own, I just think a ute isn't meant to have a rear wing
