I have a hard cover in the black leather-grainy stuff - looks good on the HgAg, but restricts load height too much, so I normally use the soft cover. I had the front of the soft cover modified to fit around the hardcover hinges. I only use the hardcover for security, normally on weekend trips. HgAg utes look sh*t-hot either way!

I think that the Hard smooth finish Tonneau with a rear wing looks great! Some people say way bother getting a rear wing on a ute they don't work, there only for looks! Well aren't most wings these days non-functional on all cars? I have heard that the rear wing and hard tonneau's used by the V8Brutes actually work, and are available to the public, so do your shopping and there you go! Hard tonneaus with sports bars look awsome, nice and claen finish with a bit of attitude, I've seen the Hardcover lids that Blown BA mentioned and they look great, well woth the money, If you've got it!

I got my hard cover cuase the normal soft cover flaps like a bas*ard on the freeway. There is no way I am going to spoil such a quiet and refined ride with a constant drumming in the back of my head for 50mins at a time when I go down the Gold Coast.

So I forked out the rediculous amount to get the hard cover fitted. That and they look awesome! Especially with the ute lowered 30mm.

Don't want to rain on your parade, but the cemented pavement on the M1 is so bloody noisy that you can barely even hear the diff whine, so a soft tonneau is the last of your worries!!!

Seriously though I have always had soft covers and never noticed a flapping noise, maybe its just one of those things you get used to.

The drumming from the flapping tornou is what will piss me off, and I don't just drive the M1! Its the least of my worries :spoton:

:w00t2: Mmmmm Mine makes no noise at all no matter what speed, Just pushes down after the last support at the back.

Yeah mine makes a tap tap tap noise in the inwd, but I must confess I can't hear it over the road noise. My diff whine is only audible in 2nd and 3rd and not in any other gear.

At 110kmh+ I can't say I noticed it flapping, the movement in my rear vision mirror is noticeable though. Maybe I wasted my money on a hard cover, but I do like the look, so I guess it can stay

The stereo more than compensates for any other noise anyway!

?? Noise :gooff: What noise? Flapping noice  , I never hear any noises... just the dash vibrates and one hard whack fixes that for about 6 months.

I have a canopy for my car, awesome thing to use, but ugly - so off it came.

Tonneau cover I have but I admit it does have it's downside, it fades, I have little black swirls where the hold knobs are and where the cover goes around the sports bars its torn, cause even thought I say "gentle", nup everyone got to pull like superman and now the rubber is torn. :spoton:

As for the hard cover, I like the look of them, but I do think you need to complete the job and get rid of the black knob things and smooth it off. Can't ever use the Tonneau again though...?? :hrmm:
