  1. Ash Vs Evil Dead is a 3 series follow on from those scary as $hit movies years ago. Network is Starz. Funny as, great music. +1 for The Boys
  2. Nice mood lighting Finnas. What a pain in the arse to keep clean, is there an easy way?
  3. Just had a better look at your amazing thread, very much a chalk and cheese comparison, but nevertheless, doweling the crank would shut the issue down and I appreciate your time to consider my question. I have a much greater idea of what is going on now than just a few days ago. Thank you Brad
  4. Brad, Love your work, shared experiences and commitment to your dream, big HP is right there in the face of those who want it, keeping stuff operating and/or being happy with wot you got seems to be the hard part. This HP thing is totally addictive and consuming. Can't imagine the stress and head trauma continually fixing expensive stuff would be, don't really wanna find out. Previous owner said to me go to 16-17psi on E85 & 450kw, no thanks. Question still remains is preemptively doweling the flexplate a valid idea or just an excuse to spend more $ @Jeturbo when are you gunna read your messages
  5. Still tossing up between engine out or left in place for full billet upgrade of oil pump gears, but the issue of doweling the flex plate as a preemptive move has come into the equation. (no probs at this stage) There are plenty of stories about this issue, but in reality how often does it occur. Ol mate reckons much greater chance of input shaft breaking. Not much of a skid kid myself, although someone called me a child the other day, I'll wear that like a badge of honour. Having owned the car for a month, I ain't no expert, just a drip under pressure. FG 2010 ZF 6sp 375rwkw ute.
  6. I have decided I should upgrade the factory oil pump gear full assembly to "insure" my FG Xr6t engine. It has the usual required mods and has been tuned to 375rwkw on 98@14psi. It is an auto with 87k klms and I did speak to 3 speed shops in Cairns today about it and have a bit of conflicting info about whether the engine needs to come out or not. 1st shop in Cairns which also has a shop in Townsville, said they've done hundreds and do all pump mods inhouse, gears, porting, relief valve etc, said motor pretty much had to come out, couldn't really give a price cause you never know what you'll find in there maybe due to mods etc. Made me feel a bit uneasy, but then again this is new to me. 2nd shop do more GM work and weren't too sure, but did to their credit called Nizpro who agreed the motor should come out. I did give him the info about auto /power, which I assume he passed on and Nizpro said it prolly doesn't need doing. I also mentioned that I was not the burnout type but the tyres on a ute mostly cannot hold the power and the thing free wheels to 6250rpm or whatever in 1st and 2nd and maybe 3rd often before the traction control kicks in. (yeah still got the training wheels on) Maybe I could just learn to drive it! 3rd shop which was recommended by the diesel mechanic at my work who said they have done a quite a few without removing the motor for about 8 hours labour, I supply the pump, various gaskets and whatever else I want to bring along. So any thoughts from the Fordxr6turbo brains trust are very welcome.
  7. The Michelin pilot sport cup 2 295 x 30 x 20" fit real nice on back the ute with near an inch from the guard and heaps of space on the inside, but maybe there's a bit more space in a ute over a sedan. Sorry don't know the offset as I was not original modifier. Got down under it to take some close up photos today and while dragging my fat arse off the ground, knocked mobile out of hand on tow ball and now it's funked. This Photo from a week ago. The mock plate is available, but would rather spend money on something useful like billet oil gears.

I'm real new to this, just amazing how the tuning thing works. Thanks for the enlightenment. Hopefully the ZF hangs in there. Seems there are many here putting much more into their stock ZF trannys, if I am not mistaken.

Finally getting the hang of imgur. Anyway here's the tale of the tape. Yet to confirm 14psi on stage 2 procharge GTX64 or the original turbo with a billet comp wheel , backplate and pro9 blade with flapper mod. Cost someone $2k whatever it is. Bit hard to make out on invoice. Aren't these graphs supposed to peak and fall a bit before max rpm? Kicks in hard and early and stops quicker with the XYZ forge racing brakes. Apparently it was a 40C degree day.

Cheers Keith, Checked the oil today after the long run and it was still clear and right on the line. The ZF was impeccable, couldn't be happier. When my 0600 flight was cancelled and I had to cough up $600 for the next one and hang around at the airport for a few hours and I was really sick, I was worried about having a real horror day. Very pleased the luck turned around with the car.

My ride Was on carsales for quite a while I think. Not sure why no one liked it enough to buy. The thing is a beast with 6 pot fronts and 4 pot back fully floating brakes, whatever that means. They sure work real well. When I got back in my other car a 96 hilux ute, I thought the brakes had failed again having just replaced the master, but then it sunk in. Those 295 x 30 x 20" Michelins fit in real nice at the back Hopefully image works. I will take a photo myself soon.

Hi Guys, 1st post and feeling pretty stoked to have purchased a 2010 FG ute with some excellent mods and recently driving up to FNQ from Brisbane. Having been in a stock FG previously I was kinda hooked when that thing took off, buying one with a dyno'd 500rwhp (such a nice round no.) is a blast, literally. After denying myself an earlier in life hp craving which was definitely the best idea in my case, Everything cost so much and went so slow by comparison to these rocket shiops, although I did view a pretty beat up XA GT coupe around 1983 which I passed on @$1500. Was fortunate to get one with excellent suspension mods and top of the range 20" rims and tyres, it was such a pleasurable experience. Thing just sat on the road real nice and during brief excursions to the other line, just handled so nice. It was so empowering to not have any passing anxiety whatsoever, might have created some though, but definitely not because of close calls. On the subject of fuel economy (a bit off topic) Dash display suggests 8.6L/100K which is very optimistic. While I did not write down any details my calcs were roughly 12L/100KM Seems it is a buyers market for these cars, people are terminal tightwads or worried about buying one which spent too much time at the skids. There's plenty of these great Australian made muscle cars around at great prices. Bang for buck stops with an XR6T, keep up the great work.
