I totally agree with your thinking, I gave an example in another thread of when running my uncle's 911 TT on take off with his car capable of 0-100 in something like 3.8 sec and only after 120 clicks I'd reel him in and kept puling as for roll on at 80kms he had no chance. (Too much power) You said the big power usually comes in top end and that's where I do the damage as the top end charge and torque moves the car past 140clicks your staring at 220 clicks in no time and the guy that once was next to me has his high beams on just to see me in the distance I still have Street Action on my desk with your car featured, what a Beast and the process you've gone through to get the car to where it is a credit to you mate. I keep saying it and more ppl are believing me ...Yellow cars pull harder! I'll leave the laughs to you mate, being in your car would be like a scary theme park ride... For me traction is key as I usually am busy proving what 400rwkw is capable of to big blocks and imports!

Definately it would have to be a roll-on run, I usually kick it back in second, 4000rpm doing about 80 clicks then the fun begins. Though I think you have a bit too much power for me....I'd run you in your 480 tune but any more power than that is more like me spectating more than anything else. Thanks for the info regarding the turbo I think I'll leave the car as it is for now coz the costs are going to blowout and with a baby on the way and needing a new palce I think I'll be content with 400+rwkw for a long time yet. It gives some of the boys an opportunity to catch up at least...hehe

Bought A F6
Good Stuff, Congrats! Great choice, you will have alot of fun with this car.

Now wouldn't that be a fun run to watch, two rapid phoons with ridiculous power! Big Vic Weekend is going to be a ball! As for the Turbo it being high flowed would it hold up to 460-480rwkw with out race fuel? Not interested in putting a bigger turbo at this stage. Just want to see what my one will handle first before going down the path of a bigger hair dryer.

Mate it's a four speed auto.

I know what I'd be doing if I were in your shoes Jules .... psst..go the P.W. I'm in a similar dilema, just been told we're expecting our first little one, need to find a bigger place quick smart and need new furniture so need to save up or put the bottom and in end hit the magic 500rwkw......hmmmm...decisions.....decisions....

You pay a small fee to play on these private roads in sydney.... There trying to make the surfaces even smoother lately, it's cos the car bounces around a little because of the uneven surfaces at over 220clicks... and I sh*t myself! I've owned an LS1 myself and in comparison definately can't go past the awesome set up of the four litre barra with a garrett 3540!

Might catch up with the monsta gtr tonight not sure yet. As for the engine I'm quite happy with the current set up, made some inital enquries and there was uncertainty on how much my high flowed 35/40 would handle. As for insurance definately want to put the engine in the car but the beast is running very sweet at the moment eventhough I don't want to hurt the stock bottom end. I was thinking my turbo would probably max out somewhere between 460-480rwkw so we'll have to just see what happens. I know what will happen I'll put the bottom end in crank up the boost, the turbo will max out and the ZF will die on the dyno!

Traction I have to say hasn't been to bad with the michellins, my torque seems to be the one thing that gets over line quicker than most cars. It would be a good run but not to see if I can win but by how many car lenthgs he puts on me....it's all fun and games and there's plenty of quick cars out there, though there hasn't been a car that has stayed with me when I've hit fourth gear so far...

I've run a R33GTR with 428awkw's on a roll and chopped him and he's got a roll cage in his and has run 10.5. Though I've watched it launch off the line and nothing comes close and this guy can drive. This guy couldn't believe my engine and gearbox was stock until he asked about my car to others. 300rwkw seem to be the norm now and I found that you only really stand out if you've got late 300 rwkws when your up against the competition. Lot of big hp car running around now some totally stealth and some overly done though a credit to the car enthusiasts out there putting together great cars of all makes and models.

305rwkw with an agressive mid range on the xr6t. Should of chased down the vz owner with a screw driver and pulled his plates off! Mine dyno'd 411rwkw the other week and I'm loving the cold nights the car seems to be lapping up the freezing air that's for sure. I don't want to know what the car would do with the monster bottom end I have sitting in the garage if it was fitted into the car. There's a guy with an r32 gtr that just pulled 644awkw and he's looking for victims looks like I'll have to get in line.... PS. Yellow cars pull harder!

Supercharged E46 M3
We had an M3 in the family and I used to drive it regularly and in stock form it was an animal but with the power the above guy has with a supercharger that's what you call a total package! I saw one m3 with a turbo running big power and chops a pretty serious supra on youtube. PS> Thanks for sharing, Good effort by the owner to push the envelope of an already super car.

I saw ripfpv on tuesday night just got back from a poker night with my brother. We're out the front of our place and this black VZ guns it past us, my brother reads the plates out, I look at him, my brothers got the xr6t's keys in his hands, looks at me with a smile and before you know it we're driving down the road to catch him at the lights and my brother can't help himself and the driver in the vz agrees we hit a private road, ripfpv sounds the business, I mention to my brother if this guy beats the xr6t get his number cos the phoons gonna have to come out to play. We have two runs both roll-ons first one he gets the jump punching it first and by the time the xr6t spools up he's half a car ahead and it pretty much stays like that, second run both cars launch at the same time and the xr6t sits a car length ahead and that's how it finishes with the vz passenger giving us the phumbs up and exiting the private road. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Had a run with an orange monaro with a pro charger kit, 407rwkw and a 10 second time slip, back to the private road rolling from 80kms in second 4000revs we punch it I can see a shade of orange in the corner of my eye when I'm in third as I hit fourth I'm long gone and kept pulling from him. He comes back for another run coz he just couldn't believe how badly he got done mind you at this stage I'm surrounded by a number of LS1's that have put their quickest next to me and for a second time there's at least 10 car lengths by the time I'm about to hit 5th and the LS1 boys and the monaros owner just didn't know what to say apart from "I heard your phoon was quick but f*rk I didn't think it was that quick" followed by me saying "yeah the car goes alright"....hehehe....

My Ute Vs Porsche Gt3
I didn't say the porcshe driver is a loser, I have an exotic car at home myself. I guess Mr Bean wil have to let us know how he goes, though on the rollon I still say the F6 will get the GT3.

How To Have Fun Without Drinking....speed!

My Ute Vs Porsche Gt3
On take off you'll be staring at his brake lights but not for long if you do have traction then definately at 100km mark you'll be close and at 120-140 you'll pass him and stay there till 200kms as that's the legal speed limit when you race an exotic..hehehe From my experience, my uncle has a 996 911 T-Turbo and on take off yes he had me till about 100kms and then with the amount of torque changing from 2nd-3rd gear I started passing him and by the time I hit fourth it was bye bye uncle....400+rwkw's do help of course. Rollons from 40kms he'd get me only cos the in 1st in the ZF it would be short shift to not "limp home mode" then once second came into full swing again would be neck and neck but after that at every gear change I kept gaining on him. At 80kms not contest I absolutely smashed him.. The rush driving the porsche is full on, when the thunderous twin turbo's kick in it's hold the hell on. Totally different feel of seat of the pants. Ran my C55 AMG on the highway with the 911 and 80km rollon had him infront just by a car length and on approaching 150kms the porchse kept pulling. MrBean you have a very good chance of breaking his ego....it really is very satisfying when you do so..

F6 Valve Springs, What Power Can They Handle?
My experience was it let go at 390rwkw. (BF F6 Auto) Though I have heard of the valves springs being unchanged in a manual phoon with 500+rwkw

Jeff you'll have to organise VIP parking for the FPV's at the dyno day.
