  1. 169 mph in 201 metres? Are you on drugs?
  2. It's all about efficiency. Plain and simple. Just to rub it in, the ute makes 370rwkw @ 15lb peak through an auto
  3. Get a few quotes before you get your car taken anywhere. Had the same dilemma with the ute a short time ago with the head lifting at 400rwkw causing extreme detonation on all 6 pistons - to the extent that chunks of spark plug were embedded where the valves seat. :( Try John at brisbane tuning and turbo, and ask him about the blue ute. He took took the engine out and apart after he was given the vehicle sans manifolds/pipework etc and installed a new longblock. Well priced, nothing was a hassle, and even ended up with more power at less boost and timing after his tune. There are others around, just get a few prices before you shell out your hard earned.
  4. Was in the ute running ~375rwkw when we had some fun with the gtr. Made the GTR look a bit slow, but as was the ute by a 1000cc bike
  5. Chopped an r35 gtr last night.... f*ck they are a nice car
  6. The ute spent over 8 hours on the dyno last week for a new street tune and made a very safe 375rwkw @ 14.5 psi and a heap less timing. A gain of 20+ kw at 4 lbs less boost and about 7° less timing. Go figure. Big thanks to John at Brisbane Turbo and Tuning for all of the work that's gone into the ute.
  7. The ute and a few signed up toys
  8. Can expect a much stronger top end.
  9. Guy's old car IIRC. Immaculate is an understatement. Worth every cent in my humble opinion. Seriously quick on the circuit as well. Congratulations on the purchase 57ING.
  10. The way those collectors merge is sexual. Will take and put up some pics of the ute tomorrow.
  11. Not true. Have done the testing and got the results. RE surgetanks, if you have the time, make your own... for a quality product that you know fits, buy PW.

    One too many mufflers
  13. sh*t. Actuator fouling on the engine mount gave no, and then sporadic boost in all gears. 12.1 @ 122 and 11.8 @ 118. With sh*te 2.1 60 footers. Problem was fixed on Monday by Mr Turbo, big thanks. But by twisting the rear housing around we cracked the oil drain so she was leaking all the way back from the coast Putting in a braided line tomorrow to fix the issue. 11.61 @ 116 is the pb to beat when it had 320 rwkw.... now just have to do it.
  14. Mind you though, the car has had a pretty easy life. Hardly gets a workout on the street, only the one trackday thus far and about half a dozen trips to the drags. I think that has been the key in addition to regular gbox oil changes and not letting it get too hot. Good luck mate.
  15. Forced, no signs of any damage yet. Shifts are firm without any weakness to speak of yet (touch wood.) Though there was a problem the other night at the drags, but turns out that the actuator rod was fouling on the engine mount and sticking every now and again. Issue being sorted as we speak, so keen to hit the drags again and see how she goes.
