  1. Nice thrasher mate, have fun!
  2. You can get it tuned on lowish boost, a nice tame tune through the midrange will be alot easier on the clutch than a tune that is just made for bigger power. Some things you can do to make the clutch last: get a tune with gradual low boost, without too much midrange power Dont make it pull hard in 4th on the freeway Avoid full throttle at low revs Dont dump the clutch, treat it gently Stretch out the revs, change fast so it doesnt drop rpm if your gonna race it. I made my stocker BA clutch hold over 300wkws for ages doing the above things, sure it used to slip, but I could drive "around" the slippage Its mainly high midrange power / torque that kills clutches
  3. That looks good, needs some rims now mate.
  4. Nice power... what do the blue, green and orange lines represent?
  5. Yep the purple polish is great, as is Mothers mag & alloy polish... I find the Purple polish shines up quicker on these coolers.
  6. I have the toyos on the rear, but in a wider size, they seem to grip very well but once they slip they fully light up. Ive had a few different pirelli's but not these exact ones... I found they would spin alittle but regain grip as torque reduced. Id go for the Pirelli's
  7. Nice one mate, you dont see that colour much, I only saw one demo that colour while looking for mine. Yep, lower it and a light tune will make it nicer to drive.
  8. Could be many factors to blame. Yes on paper the G6 should punch away, but one would think the BF f6 would have more torque from the bigger turbo, and be able to pull away through the midrange? Maybe Mr G6 had low octane fuel in it, as they are advertised to run on it. Who knows... they are both great cars
  9. mine ran 12.6 on open diff and street tyres... its not as bad as an old EA single legger lol

    Team Grandpa?

Yeah yours was handling great behind me lol Throw some King springs on and handling is very impressive.

    Team Grandpa?

Just buy one mate, you wont regret it. And if LSD is so important to you, one from a BF can be fitted up, but I wouldnt stress about it unless its been flogged out... they are tight as from factory and work well. I know quiet a few LSD equipped BA-BF-FGs that have really struggled to keep up with my one legger through the twisty stuff.
  12. I know a few guys that have done this, it's not really a good idea unless you have a wide band 02 and good boost Guage. I've tried gfb and tsmart mbc's onthe BA, both made it feel lagier than with the PCM controlling boost. I wouldn't recomend doing this, let your tuner set the boost corectly.

    New G6et....

yeah plenty of fueling in the stock tune... but they run pretty lean on partial load/throttle which is why econ' isnt too bad on them
  14. maybe some drifting gone wrong?
  15. yeah its lowered... inside tyre edge clears by a few mm, outside edge has about 7mm to the guard
  16. 19x9.5 rims
  17. Yeah a custom tune will get high 200s, some have seen 300 which is pretty much the max for the injectors... cooler / intake system / exhaust injectors will see mid 300s which is the limit of the turbo.
  18. I would invest the $$ in decent tyres rather than an LSD, unless your well over 300wkws. My G6 runs good, fast laps at wakefield and Marulan, mid 12s at wsid without traction issues if driven smartly, giving it easy throttle inputs in 1st & 2nd. The FG has the luxury of being able to fit wide 295 tyres in the rear without touching the guards, or 305s with rolling the guards. I've been actually supprised with how much grip mine has with 295 and the stock open diff... its done 20oookays now and is still very tight, leaves two fat black lines when you get excited If your only running around 300wkws, just get some decent tyres.
  19. Ah that was one of my first plenums for the XR6T, made in 06. They worked really well, centre feed, based on the style made popular by the rotory guys... unfortunately it was a bit "out there" for the xr6t guys back on 06 and not many were keen.
  20. This is a great car, Ive been in it and it flys, very strong. Great buy for someone that just wants to jump into a serious XR6T and go have fun.

    New G6et....

Very nice... yep soon as you mod them you have to let the cardy go lol
  22. Make sure the fuel pump is still plumbed up right inside the tank... if the small hose comes loose it will surge like mad. that's also high power through the stock cooler, inlet temps will be massive so caution in summer time mate.
  23. Awesome run. Maybe swing off the head studds a little more?
  24. Nice car indeed, but I couldnt handle the wait...post up when you get it mate.
  25. some say 500
