  1. I don't think Turbo6man will be able to join us. He's on the South Coast... NSW For interests sake he drives a T3 TE50. And a Turbo ZL Fairlane, soon to be a Turbo XF Ute. B) I won't be able to help much with anything for the next couple of weeks as I'll be away, but when I return I'd like to offer my assistance. Cheers, Mark
  2. Here's a more recent pic of of my ute. The lights have been removed leaving just the bar. I like it B) Click Here

Not a joke, but I found it sinteresting. Where did the word 'sh*t' come from? Back in the old world when they started transporting manure by ship, they would store it in the hull/bilge. Unfortunately it would always get wet, and start to stink the ship out, and the manure would be useless. So they started printing S.H.I.T on the bags. Store High In Transit
  4. Now you've got the part number, get it ordered in.

  6. I quite like those bonnets. Be interested to see it in Mercury Silver as I'm thinking about getting one myself. Keep us posted mate. Love ya work

SHV have done a kit for the cars they are selling. Looks fantastic. Grouppe A have made a bonnet bulge with air intakes. They've also made revised spoilers. Pretty sure these have been discussed here on the forums. Try a search
  8. Agreed. Townsville Dragstrip is a shocker. It'd be a fast strip if they sealed the dirt area. :( Anyway, as has been said, I can't see this increase in boost giving those times, unless there's been a ratio change.
  9. LIke the new colours. That Purple and Blue are quite nice. We need that blue... :(

WARNING, Wee bit of language. I was heading out for a night on the town with the boys. The missus demamded that I be home by 11pm sharp. I promised her I'd be on time. But alas, I got absolutely sh*tfaced and stumbled in the front door around 2am. I figured if I was nice and quiet I could get up stairs and into bed without the missus even waking up. Then to my horror the cuckoo clock cuckooed twice announcing it was 2am. Thinking it would probably wake the missus, and being the quick thinkier I am, I cuckooed 9 more times. Quite pleased with how smart I am, even while p*ssed, I snuck upstairs and into bed. The next morning the missus seemed happy, and brought me my breakfast. I thought to myself "Phew, got away with that one!' Then she says to me that the cuckoo clock will need fixing. When I asked her why she replied, "Well, last night it cuckooed twice, said 'Oh Sh*t', cuckooed 3 more times, burped, cuckooed 4 times more, giggled to itself, then cuckooed twice more and said 'I am a f*ck*ng genius'"
  11. The stock speakers are 5x7s... Not 4x7 I've replaced my door mounted speakers with 16cm 3 ways, and the rear speakers with 6x9 3 ways. Also added an Amp and 10" sub. This is in my ute. Easy enough to change the speakers. Got the amp installed. Was told I could put an aftermarket headunit in and bypass the stock unit. As 'iaschmidt' has done. Don't think I'll bother. Damn happy with how it is now. Sounds Awesome.
  12. The only car that's given me a caining was an M3. It was probably stock too. Damn it was quick. I'm stock also, so it was all good. First time I've seen an M3 so close, at full flight. Quite a sight. Had a great big smile on my face. My mate couldn't understand why I was happy. Was a waste of an M3 though. I kept up with him through roundabouts. He almost lost it on a roundabout when it snapped sideways on him. Almost threw it into the barrier. I reckon an M3 could do better than that. Driver ability not upto the cars ability. :(

Yeah, I've noticed it too. I think it's great. When I see someone checking out my car I let them look for a while, then hit the panic button. Scares the crap outta them. Great fun.

  18. One here. The gruntiest Stock turbo on the forums
  19. The exact same thought ran through my head when I got my ute. But the damn clock assembly is worth more than a decent boost gauge. Effectively doubling the cost, and the work you'd need to do to put a round gauge in a oval hole. To me it wasn't worth it. :( When I see a BA fairmont at the wreckers, I know what I'll be grabbing though...

Not to discredit what you've said, but I was always taught to leave your car doors unlocked incase of an accident. Easier for your aiders to get you out of the car. I'd rather my life, than my car. Having said this, I've got a hefty Maglite nearby incase any *beep* tries to get in my car while I'm in it.
  21. Ok, bad choice of words. The point I wanted to get across was that it was obviously run in correctly. I think I have the figures to back me up when I say I have a very healthy engine. Any questions on how this engine was treated during it's first 4000kms, can only be answered by Turbo6man.
  22. BLKXRT, Well the straighter exhaust may play a part in it. That's one theory Be great to hear your results. Keep us updated. CJF, Being a Ute it has a different exhaust setup. Like BLKXRT said, that may be something to explain it. I've had the rear muffler removed but I can't see it making much of a difference, if any, to the power output. I would put the strong results down to a good upbringing. My father took delivery and nursed it through it's first 4000kms (Including a 2500 trip from Sydney to Townsville). He must of done something right I reckon. It now has 9000 on the clock, and is loving life. :D
  23. Well today my Ute made me proud when she pulled a 202.5kw on the dyno. Now, for an auto, I think this is quite impressive. But maybe I'm biased... In 2nd gear it pulled a 188, and I was happy. Then we went again in 3rd, and you could not wipe the grin from my face, as it pulled the 202.5 figure. These results taken in shootout mode. With a ramp rate of 70, in 2nd gear, it pulled 185 in 2nd, then 190 in 3rd. Ramp rate of 100 it pulled 197 in 3rd. Following is the printout. The boost maxed out at around 5.5psi as shown.

I can't stop taking pics of my ute. Digital cameras are evil! Same ute, same colour, nothing's changed but the location. These are the best pics yet. Gawd it looks horn. The overcast day here in Townsville I think adds a bit of character to the pics. Another And Another
