  1. So there is no way to tell whether its leaning out or not unless you put it on the dyno? I will be getting a custom tune done, im just waiting until it gets near the end of factory warranty running out which is january. Iv got 968's and I want a highflow cat and im still undecided whether to do valve springs aswell as they are pricey to have done. Nesh
  2. I have been reading the exhaust threads but am not 100% sure and understand. My question is, can I put a highflow cat with just my generic 8psi and it will be ok? Will it go into limp mode? Or it doesnt matter whether you have edit and generic tunes you must get custom tune after installing highflow cat? Thanx Nesh
  3. I just did mine on the weekend. There is no need for hoist or ramp. You can get it from the top. Just take out the airbox and oil filter and youll be able to reach the switch and undo it. Nesh
  4. My car is the same as yours, 2004 mk1 xr6t manual and it does the same thing. I also had the diff fixed twice because of leaks. Its driveline clunk. Cant be fixed. Its annoying but you get used to it and you soon learn how to control the clutch so it minimises the jerking. Nesh

    Tps

    The TPS is a throttle position sension right? Does that control the revs of the car? Where abouts is it located in the engine bay and what does it look like? Im having problems with the revs on ocassion where its revving by itself about 2-3000 rpm when at traffic light for about 5 seconds and then goes down to 1100rpm when it should be about 850 rpm. Whilst driving u dont need to accelerate as the car is revving byitself so it goes by itself. When breaking and slowing down u can feel the car wants to go because teh revs and going up. The car also sometimes stalls by itself. This has happened a few times. It started about 3 weeks ago. After turning off the car and turning back on it would be ok, then when I give it a squirt it happens again. After turning on and off few times it went away until yesterday it happened again. I tried explaining it to ford and as the problem had stopped when I was there they didint do anything to help me so im just after info so I can tell them like I know what the problem is and what im talking about, maybe then they will do something to fix it. If people can give info and suggestion that would be great! Thanx Nesh
  7. ntturbo that looks good! Did you purchase the facia from AWC? How do they match the paint so its the same as the silver facia that you buy? When you sprayed the other plastic parts did it come up good, is there any prep involved or just simply spray over the top? How many coats? Thanx Nesh
  8. Can you remove the oil pressure switch without draining the oil? Will much oil come out? Also is there only 1 size of cobalt gauges? Whats the size for the FPV pod, is it the 2 1/16 size gauges? Thanx Nesh
  9. Where can you buy the t piece for the oil pressure? If I give the part number to lets say autobarn or supercheap or whoever can they get that for me? Thanx Nesh

  11. I got a quote off Amberley autos last week for $170 but as I have a BMC filter its less another 20 bucks so it would come to $150 (if nothing major needs to be changed like brakes). Nesh
  12. Iv been trying to search and find a thread that has a pic of the cig lighter section and which wires are for each connection (power etc) but I cant seem to find it. It was in relation on how to connect an electric oil pressure gauge. Can someone direct me to it if you come accross it please. Thanx Nesh
  13. Cant the gauges be connected so they dim with the rest of the dash instead of creating a seperate dimmer? Also how did you create the dimmer?

    When I push my car back and forward when its in neautral it makes a sound at the rear end as if the pads are rubbing against the disk. Is that the handbrake or just the rear brake pads? Is that a normal thing? Thanx Nesh

  20. Well all I am going to be doing is 968 injectors and custom tune. So what you are saying is that they will both get the same amount of power with the mods im doing? Nesh
  21. Which will get more power? A) BMC/K&N Pod filter covered by box with custom tune B) Typhoon CAI with BMC/K&N flat panel with custom tune

    Flash Tuners

    Well I went to a tuner where the previous owner of the my car had bought the capa flash tune and I went to get the latest generic tunes and he got them sent down from capa and uploaded into my box. Nesh
