Brief life story. Left school at end of 1982 after a disastrous HSC.[emoji19] Was part time at Maccas and took me 6mths to find a full time job that paid $118pw. Unemployment rate was around 13% and interest rates were crazy hi.[emoji20] Too top it off I picked Australian Manufacturing as a career path doing mind numbing dead end jobs.[emoji21] I went from one place to another cause they kept closing down.[emoji20] Tried pulling Beer for a few years but the pay sucked. Got into the building game laying reo (steel fixing) and doubled my earnings , trade off was now my back is cactus.[emoji21] Got married at 30 and divorced at 32 (what a disaster, no kids though)[emoji20] Went back into Manufacturing and guess what, Redundancy![emoji21] Hooked up with my current wife and became a Motorcycle courier, dangerous business [emoji12]so went back to good Ol Aussie Manufacturing and a sh!tty job in Port Kembla Steel Works. I said to the missus if I can get 15 years before this place closes we'll be set.[emoji6] Built a house and had a 270k mortgage[emoji15] Got married and first kid at 37 then second at 40[emoji7] Wife worked full time and I worked my way into the highest blue collar wage bracket in the steel works[emoji1] Bought an investment property at the height of the market and then GFC and market crash (cheering......NOT) [emoji20]but managed to hang in there and now it takes care of itself[emoji4] Paid house mortgage off at 48 and wife took a redundancy and works very part time[emoji2] Sitting pretty now and I've been in the Steel Works 15 years come March. So after a disastrous start from early in my life till I was 35 we are now very comfortably off no matter what happens. If I can do it anybody can, you just need a GOOD 10 years. So chill out dudes there's really no rush [emoji6]

If your young and capable of earning good coin (Stripes), then grab it with both hands. I've just turned 50 and am slowly backing off only now. Young people are in too much of a rush these days too "have it all ". Invest 10% of your earnings, weather it be shares, properties etc. The person I was at 20 something is pretty much the same person I am at 50, same hobbies, dreams and interests. I'm just a lot wiser that's all. You have plenty of time up your sleeve, so travel, smell the roses and kick back, BUT...... Just try and save a little for the future and the rest will take care of itself [emoji6]

Thought Adelaide was country? I moved from Sydney down to "Gods Country " , the glorious South Coast 15 years ago and haven't looked back. Although I'm on the fringes of what is considered a Metro area, after living in that Sydney rat race I can guarantee I'll never go back. If anything I'd go more country. The only thing that holds me back from going full country are the kids and their future. Get out of the city and into the country, best thing you'll ever do, just make sure if you've got young kids that your reasonably close to a regional centre with all of the facilities eg, good schools, hospitals, TAFEs, Uni's etc.

Check your coolant tank for oil, aka milkshake.

Thanks Stripes. No, no treatment as this happens once or twice a year and it usually just needs a few days rest but I went into work the last two days which was dumb because it's now aggravated the hell out of it. The missus is on my case too get some treatment but I'm stubborn. The wife's sick of me walking around looking like I've got a carrot stuck up my date[emoji15]

You only really get one chance at it. Once you start stretching and shrinking that metal a few times it work hardens and you'll end up with ripples where the dent was. Be careful!

I can see this being a huge improvement, especially on older cars. I've always disliked the idea of filling up the boot with an anti-surge fuel system on a street car. The other application I immediately thought of was for motorcycles, in fact my Enduro bike which seems to run out of fuel with 300ml left in the tank because its lower than the pickup. BUT.......like has already been said "if it works and lasts". If so then it's a game changer. -

Sorry.....first time I've seen anything like this. When I say create sh!t, I mean it'll revolutionise fuel systems and all of a sudden make surge tanks etc redundant. I think it may knock a lot of industry suppliers noses out of joint. -

Wow!!! Somebody had their thinking caps on. Let's see how much of a sh!t storm this creates in the fuel accessory world? -

I agree totally! Those idiots only have themselves to blame. Their scum as far as I am concerned. I just feel for the father as the Feds totally farked him over. Unless you're a father you probably wouldn't understand.

I agree above with what's been said about these drug dealers in Indo. But there is one thing that really STINKS, and the mainstream media has said squat about it. In fact I've only seen the whole story reported once. The father of one of these guys ( Chan I think) actually went to the Australian Federal Police and begged them to stop his son from getting on a plane to Bali because he knew he was up too no good. He told the Feds that he thought his son was involved in drugs and feared he might try and import them in to Australia. Now the Feds were already investigating these guys (how much and to what extent is unclear) but said they could not stop them leaving. The Feds then tipped off the Indo Police who then followed them and arrested them at the airport when they were on their way back to Australia with the drugs. Now it's highly unlikely the Indo Police would've caught these guys without the help from the Australian Feds. So a Father trying to do the right thing instead inadvertently sentences his son too death. The Feds refuse to comment on this because they feared that it might harm the chances of them escaping the death penalty. These guys probably would've been out of jail by now if they had been arrested in Australia. I feel VERY SORRY for that Father.
