  1. Looks good brings back bad memoies of fitting a 600 core in the front. The 3" pipe work is the go, a little lag then hold on.... I am changing my pipe work again and are getting rid of the croosover pipe (if it ever comes back from the spray painters), did you keep your battery in the stock position? if so what diameter pipe do you use to run the filter out the front? Good to see some one else who thinks bigger is better.
  2. if all else fails give it more revs, you dont want to bog down if you reclutch.. Is there a ceramic clutch that has no shudder??
  3. You also can acheive the "boost feeling" by sticking a rocket up your arse however do expect to go some singed hairs. :punchhead: For previous vechicles I looked at this ....
  4. Josh Stop mucking around get two 15's in a small box, punchy yet boomy. Have a look at my setup next time cheers Matthew
  5. I have done some research on electric supercharges, if you work out the CFM required for a 4l motor at WOT (about 300) it is alot which could be achieved with several fans inline, this is just to meet the required air flow, it another thing to create boost. The pitch of the fan would have to change, more fins added and spin alot faster than there capable of. http://www.whitworths.com.au/main_itemdeta...tAbsolutePage=1 If you want to try this out get a blower like in the attached link, atleast it sort of looks like a turbo.
  6. I dont dump the clutch with that many revs on board, to get it off the line fast requires a bit of slipping of the clutch and about that many revs. Would an organic clutch handle this sort of use??
  7. Ok so the exhaust mod will be done directly before the edit, any takers on the avise re the fuel pump?? If not I will put it in this weekend and post if you can do this. A clutch will be sourced shortly, any recommendations?? It must meet the following criteria Cost effective Handle 3000rpm launches or 4000rpm reclutch No shudder when driving in city traffic Lighter than stock (pedal feel)
  8. Yes I will be getting an edit in the new year, So if I get the exhaust works done prior to the edit it will go into limp mode?? The injectors will be put in by the tuner doing the edit, will this make 350kw? And the fuel pump I have one available can I put this in in readiness fro the edit?
  9. Can some more learned could advise on what mods can be done before an edit.. I have a custom front mount ok except overboosting (11psi on a good day) CAI The dump and cat will be something the big fat bastard in the red suite will bring Will this send the car into limp mode??? Can I fit a Walbro 341 intank fuel pump prior to the edit?? Can 968 injectors support 350kw with the above mods? or will the stock back half of the exhaust limit that?? Sorry for all the questions
  10. To wire it up you will need 12v acc, earth and signal wire, just splice into the grey wire which turns into the black wire after the connector of the sensor on the turbo dump pipe. To get your signal wire into the cabin unscrew your drivers side inner guard and feed the wire thru the same hole as the bonnet release cable goes thru. Just make sure you splice the correct grey wire yes there is two on the sensor. You will have a mobil disco before your know it. Do a search there is alot of info available.
  11. I have the Verde Scorpion, no probs.
  12. A 600 x 300 has alot more surface area than the wog cooler, just remember when your cutting away the front bar not only are you getting the benefits of a larger cooler you are also doing some weight reduction. Iam pulling the front bar off again this weekend, Ill get some photos if I remember.
  13. To fit in a 600 x 300 cooler will involve a lot of cutting. I used a jigsaw with metal blade, no sparks unlike using a grinder. Make sure you have clearance around the AC pipes.
  14. Iam just about to complete my intercooler setup, It will be 3" from the turbo to the crossover pipe. I am using silicon joiners and aluminium pipe. I have taken the design from the a couple of systems and combined, the inlet of the intercooler on the passanger side, this involves a 90° turn where the pipe meets the radiator then a 180° turn to hook back upto the intercooler. On the outlet side it will have 90° turned up to the head light, 90° turn under the light, and yes 3" will fit under the headlight with a litle love from the jigsaw, now heres the magic starts, 3" between the headlight and the battery, a couple of 45°'s will get you to a point where the 3" pipe then sit on the spill tray for the power steering then finally a 45° with reducer to fit onto the crossover pipe. Tonight Iam having a crack a making the pipe that will hold the boost sensor this will be in mild steel then painted. I am using a 600x300 cheap cooler, all up including the cooler, pipe and bends I have spent $490 Parts List 3" 90° x 7 3" 45° x 3 3" joiners x 1 3" - 2.5" x 1 3m of Aluminium pipe (plenty left over) 24 SS t bolt clamps Couple of cartons of burbon I know this is pointless without pics, I will post pics once complete. Maybe next weekend, its indy this weekend. To fit in the intercooler involves a lot of love from the angle grinder
  15. The ZF is a good auto, however it will never be a manual, can you reclutch to acheiving tarmac peeling tyre frying action....No If you want to sit back and watch the world go by then get an auto, want to make things happen manual is the only choice..
  16. There is no doubt regarding the significant amount of oil left, however it is getting harder to extract. For every well that is sunk there are serveal that get nothing, this all acount for the price of oil. A couple of years ago BP had spent 500 million in a year on finding oil and came up with nothing. Oil price would go down if the US dig in thier own back yard, plenty of oil there.
  17. I have had with a couple of plenum design on turbo rotars and have come up with the following:- Large plenum- suitable for big Hp applications, no good for torque. there is a direct correlation between the CFM capable of the turbo the percentage drop from turbo to plenum and power outcome. If a large plenum is used the trubo will seem to spool up slower upto the point in which the the set boost level, however at this point there is a large reserve of air to create additional power. Small plenum - my favourite, can also support big Hp however offers greater driveability. This is why the Nizpro works well on the T it has a greater volume than stock however the total volume doe not exceed the CFM capable of being produced at low engine RPM. I had a plemum on a 13B which was double the capacity of the engine roughly 2.5l however it ran 18psi and rev to 9000. I think it is best sumed up as light cars big plenum, heavy cars small plenum if turbo is involved money is better spent on other mods as plenum will only give minor gains. Sorry about the long post and my 5.5 cents damm GST

The suspension setup is not right, still has a lot of tank slap. Noice faint drift the second time round Circle work has no place at drift meets let the bogans in the commodores do that.
  19. Don't be afraid to use the boost. Your car generates more power using less fuel while on boost. If you just put around it is never on boost, essential you are driving a decompressed 6 cylinder. I use approx $170 per week and average 12l/100, mixture of city & highway
  20. I did not realise that the T comes in any other colour than TOXIC I suppose you cant help everybody
  21. Is fuel consumption really that big an issue when buying a sports sedan, The 6l jobbie from Expensive Daewoo is no slouch. However Ford should invest in a diesel powerplant for the orion, maybe the twin turbo out of the VW "developing 310hp and a mind-boggling 554 lb-ft of torque @ 2,000 rpm" mmmmmmm v10
  22. Have you considered swapping your T for a less modded auto, Iam sure someone would do the deal. For the short term thier is no benefit on refinacing, look at the costs to do so Moving in & out of cars you will allways lose money, You will lose 10% driving a car off the show room floor

  24. "Both vehicles were seen at the same set of traffic lights, and they were both travelling at high speed. When the lights went green, they just took off at high speed." I want one of these, when I take off it takes 5 secs to get to high speeds (above 100), to take off a high speed that's impressive. RIP to all of those who have needlessly lost their life behind the wheel.
