My tuner recommended that the stock heat exchanger will do the job as long as it's changed every 80000km. And what do you mean by pump gears?

Yer I've got 10s on the back already with 275 wide tyres so they hook up pretty good atm

Well atm all I've done is fitted an earls turbo oil line, serviced the zf box and replaced the heat exchanger with a new one. It's an f6 so has the stronger valve springs and rods, valve springs would be the next thing on my list down the track especially if they start to float

Have finally decided to start doing some mods to my bf f6 tornado zf auto. Am wanting to get it up to a power that will keep me satisfied for a fair while so was thinking around the 350 mark. I've gotten a couple quotes and was wondering what your guys thoughts are on the pricing. One quote from a shop here in Canberra totalled at $7300 which was id1000 injectors, xforce full exhaust 4 inch dump through 5 inch cat and single 3.5 inch, 700hp plasmaman cooler kit with Cai and hot side piping, walbro 416lph pump, xcal 4 flash tuner and dyno tune getting me up to between 350-360 rwkw. How does that compare to your guys experience in Sydney shops?

So with these setups are you guys completely getting rid of the stock heat exchanger and running just the tranny cooler?

I have these exact same symptoms. No noise on acceleration or cruising but as soon as I take my foot off the pedal and it slows down to below 60km it makes this really loud howling noise. It's a ute what are the things I should be checking and what are the best ways to determine where it's coming from?

Yer it's just plastidip the bloke I bought it off put it on there that and the wheels set it off I reckon

06 bf tornado 112000 km owned for about 6 months engine stock but have plans for it in the next year to go to about 300 atw don't want anything to crazy as its my daily atm

Just recently got ordered one of these and was wondering how long it takes to do like how much would it cost me to get a mechanic to do it or am I better off just doing it myself have average mechanical skills do a lot of work on bikes just nm on cars. I just bought one of the earls turbo oil supply kits and was wondering how much it would cost to get a mechanic to install it's going in for a service next week but if it's gonna cost me an extra 100+ to get it installed I'll do it myself it sounds pretty simple. How much have use been charged for it??

Hi all I've got a bf f6 tornado with the single zone colour icc I only bought the car like two weeks ago and in the last week the icc screen has not been turning on at times when I start the car the radio will play as in the sound and sometimes while I'm driving the screen will just turn on randomly although sometimes I can drive the car for an hour turning it on and off the screen will not turn on at all this is a big problem because I can't control the a/c either as none of the buttons work on the centre part when the screen is not on, I've tried holding the power button that turns the screen on and off and it beeps but the screen still doesn't turn on. Any ideas what it could be just hoping the whole icc isn't buggered coz I've heard there a bit pricey Cheers for any help

Hi I've just recently bought an 06 bf f6 tornado and it's my dream car, it's so nice to drive and had power everywhere. The only thing is the tornado part of the f6 tornado badge on the bottom of the tub behind the passenger door has fallen off and I can't find anywhere to get a replacement except for ford spare parts and they want a ridiculous $420 for the one badge which is stupid considering it's only a sticker and even after I supplied with my vin certifying that's it's a genuine f6 even the parts guy couldn't believe it. Now my question is does anybody on here know where I can get a new badge cheaper I only need the left side one. Cheers

Hi all I'm new to the forum well posting anyway been reading for a while. Anyway I'm going to be buying an xr6t in the next couple weeks a bf one built after the 6/6 to get the stronger internals would prefer manual but would still be happy with auto If I get a stock one I would eventually be modding it and taking it to around the 300kw mark. Sorry for the massive post but I'd appreciate any input coz I know you blokes know what your talking about Cheers
