hey guys, shaun here got an 05 t in shockwave (booked in for a full respray at klosters) mis matched rims (front different from the back) flash tuned with K&N filter (generic tune)(wideband checked) will be getting a few treats in its 6 week stay at the bodyshop generic numberplates , more often my missus driving it than I am ! hope to cruise soon (car dont head to klosters till late march)

I dont care how long they take as long as its top notch when they are finished , as long as the rental car is a good one. my thought is what rentals have towbars !

So surprisingly my phone rang around 9am this morning it was the bodyshop letting me know my claim had been approved:):) happy me!! asked a few question: Paint will be shockwave by a german company called glazurit??? (spelling) windows will be popped out and replaced with new ones window tint will be replace if it doesnt match they will do the whole car again front n rear bars will be left till I drop it in and they can have a good look at them either repair or replace. paint protection will be re-applied , no problems there! all new seals and rubbers and badges replaced it will go all the way back to bare metal she recons hte job will be 10 fold better than ford robot , so shouldn't need extra coats (but I want that deep glossy look. so il talk to them futher when I drop it in ford will provide me with a car , I said MUST have heavy duty towing ability !!!!! (I put in a falcon , I dont want an execel for 2 months!!!) im due in late march early april they are only doing 2 a month and there are 2 being done at the moment and 4 in the queue infront of me so they will be in contact when its closer to the date she said she has noted everything done on my "RO" dunno what that is but I guess its my paparwork! so now we sit and wait to see how much paint falls off be4 it goes in so all looking good so far:)

so here goes: Dealer No 1 : drop in. show the service advisor . his response" dont want to deal with this mate, take it elsewere" Dealer No 2 :(original dealer I got the car new from) Saleman(they one I delt with):"Nahh , no warrenty on paint, check with service though", off to service with saleman in tow, service advisor" yeh paints covered , its shockwave I bet." I reply with "sure is" , looks at the car says "I can put a claim in but I need photo, our camera is locked up and no1 has access to it, and its only a small one so they will jsut patch ii. come back monday when we can have photos taken" I reply "I live 2 1/2 hrs away and cant make that " his reply "bad luck then pal" both the salesman and service advisor just walk off [this was a saturday , but still no excuse not to have access to a camera if they need one for claims] Dealer No 3 : service closed , only a salesman around " nahh mate , not covered , if u want u can try another dealership" Dealer 4.1 Service: after getting shuffled from one person to another finially get some1 who knows something "nahh mate we dont deal with paint here have to goto our body shop down the road" Bodyshop 1: drive in where is says to , get out wonder over to the office. folloing behind me is a lady who appeared from the workshop area. I stand at the counter. they lady who followed me in she goes straight to the assessor and says " its a shockwave car" he grunts and starts to rumble through some paperwork , meanwhile no 1 has said anything to me or the ppl with me. finally the girl on the counter acknowledges im there. after a few minute the assessor get up walks over grabs a camera and come over to myself. he introduces himself to my dad (my dad is 52 , im 26) my dad then points to me and says "its his car " , assessor turns to me and shakes my hand , then walks over towards the car, gets my name and a number , then starts lookinf over the car, takes notes on the plate in the drivers door , then snaps a few shot of the missing paint. then comes over and says that its an issue for dhave had and he has to get approval befor anything else can happen. so I ask if this is common, I get the its a bad batch of shockwave from certain late 05 models. ( I have a dent in my bonnet after meeting a roo in the small hours of the morning on a trip to queensland) , he says we wont repair that just paint it . I say I have another bonnet to go on its currently blueprint and in good condition. he said also the damage on the rear bar also wont be covered by ford , but u can pay the prep work and ford cover the painting. all good , so I ask the timeframe of when ford will approve my claim , then how long till I get the car in and how long till I get it back. I get 2 days till ford approve it , "a while" till I get it in and 3-4 weeks till I get it back but ford provide me with a car. so my questions I have to ask when I get the call to say ford approved it are? Will it be painted in shockwave or sensation? Could I get the car painted a different colour ? (my missus likes the fg "nitro") Are the window moulds and trims and badges replace with new ones or reused? Are they pulling out my front and rear windows ? if so , do they cover retinting my rear window(it has bubbled but covered under warrenty) also , I dont want my tints to be different , so they should retint all my windows! if the car has to be baremetal prepped , I dont think I should pay for the bonnet to be prepped because they would have to be bare metal prepped anyway I know my bars are a bit damages ( my rear bar got hit but a reckless u-turner in north sydney when it was 3 weeks old , and of cause no note left) so how much to repair and prep or replace my front and rear bars? my car was paint and fabric protection by the dealer when I got it new , will ford cover the cost to re apply the paint protection ? (it was 1000 bucks for protection when I got it and I have proof on the sales sheet and the warrenty book)? overall , im happy so far how the bodyshop have started to handle my "case" so im due for a call tomorrow from the bodyshop with more details! see you next post!

2 options is the ford Aux input kit ... its pretty crap Better is the ASL logistics kit , grab that your ipod and a 3.5 to 3.5 and your off rocking the kik come with all the bits u need and instructions :D

I belive he didnt have power limiting turned off causing the audio IC to go into protect mode he also never passed on the pics to me so im unsure of what/where he did it.

I havent seen an FG yet but going by ford normal system layout DONT USE THE AMP POWER RUN NEW ONES !!!!!!!!!! the amp is linked with the CAN bus system your better off pulling the plug out of the amp (this causes the hi-pass filters to shut off allowing full range audio to the SPKs) Tapping the rear outputs off the speakers and the fronts in the kickpanels (feed these into the 3.60) Hook up your new subs/spkrs tune and enjoy As I said I may be wront I havent looked at an FG yet so if im wrong please correct me

ok here goes : located behind the fuse panel (near where u pop ya bonnet), pop the fuse panel cover off now behind there u will see a few empty plugs locate a 4pin square plug. the wiring for this plug should be : orange,black,black with yellow trace,green This is your power feed and ICC trigger point the second plug u need to find is the Audio input for the ICC, this is a T shaped plug with pink and grey wires ok so hoping u have the same wire colours as my motorolla kit ( I fitted my kit about 3 yrs ago and dont have a wiring diagram for it) it sould match this : 4 pin Square plug CAR | MOTOROLLA Orange | Red Black | Black BLK/Yellow| Green Green | Orange 2 pin - get the speaker box from the car kit and chop the speaker off. (its not too fussy on polarity this plug) SPK+ | Pink SPK - | Grey Use male spade terminals for both plugs ! I mounted the module in the space on the drivers sider of the ICC behind the panel(other side of the steering wheel to the wiring) pair up your phone and test the ICC will go into AUX/PHONE on the display and cuts audio from cd/radio and feeds the bluetooth kit audio .. I had to mess with the volume of the bluetooth and the icc to get the best sound , but its good any probs , drop me a pm

Not sure where to post this and tried searching but couldn't find a good answer So finally I get my Flash tuner2. Being greedy I head straight for the 10Psi map. Fash goes well car starts. Setup data logger on laptop. warm car up watching the logger so the vital signs. all is good. head out down the road and give it a hit. And as soon as the boost raises over the std 5psi(boost guage) it breaks out into wheelspin. hit 2nd (auto) all is good. continue on sedatly having a quick look at the laptop all data seems good , AFR's EGT's all withing safe limits. boost settles at 10Psi I haed of smiling down the road. head for the highway to do some more logging nice clear road , give it a good hit, check data all is well. knock it into 3rd and floor it from low revs boost rises to 10psi .. then continues out to 15psi , back off, check data, data shows 15psi spike try 2nd , and boost heads to 12 Psi. head home saftly to check forum for any known issues most overboosting is noted with exhust changes . mines is completely stock only 3 mods are K&N panel filter , bov vented to atmo. plugs down to .89. Any1 have any ideas as to why such a big overboost on stock setup with just an edit? Thanks sorry if its been answered but I couldnt find it anywhere searching

I built a custom box with 2x12s in a ba ute , if your worried a about the cone hitting the seat on excursion whack a grill over it. I amalso just about finished a 6x12's in a ba ute pics to come when finished

check to make sure u havent torn the rubber seal around the cone .. pull off the undertray from the boot by removing hte 3 white plastic clips around the boot light , and have a look up there give it a shake , may also be just a loose bolt or child restraint mount

get a monoblock with remote level if u are wanting control over the subs and feed the 4 ch FR,FL,RR,RL and spilt rhe RR,RL with y - connectors to monoblock inputs
