Unfortunately LPG still isnt as generally accepted as a truly mainstream fuel, apart from the commercial and of course taxi applications. Its very sad as we have an abundant source in Australia, and with governments both State and Federal offering incentives to convert to this fuel, its a crying shame it hasnt had a higher take-up rate. I await a drive in Fords LGI engined Falcon and see how it stacks up with other gas injection systems I have tried. As an OEM fitment, it better be very very good. You,re right, the diesel-powered SUV is, to a degree, a triumph of marketing, but also has its economy advantages. Just that diesel is overpriced to buggery, and in general, the diesel variants cant match the performance of the petrol powered versions. They do have their place however, so I guess its each to his own. Mal K
