  2. Ive used Dellow bell housings many times over the years, the overall quality is very good, but expect to have to do a little "finishing and fitting" of your own for that exact fit. Remember, they are not a OEM item and as such represent a compromise, an engineered solution that you wont ordinarily find anywhere else. They have stood up to serious abuse in some applications I have been involved with. Jeff Dellow was always very professional and courteous, brilliant to deal with. I dont think he's still hands on with the business, if at all, having had to deal with a couple of younger, less experienced persons handling my enquiries. He spoke of retirement years ago... both he and Rod Hadfield were going to chuck it in and go fishing!!
  3. If theres enough meat in the end of the bar to allow you to drill a second hole, without weakening the bar, then its worth a go. Cant hurt to try and the stiffness may actually be somewhere between that of a stock bar and an aftermarket bar. I found the 27mm bar really worked the front tyres hard, making it understeer more but certainly roll less.
  4. Close game til 4th quarter.. have to say that up to half time Pies played better and also got plenty of umpiring benefit of the doubt. However G-Bangers ran away with it at the end.. fitting end to Malty (Im so full of self-importance)... Fark the pies1
  5. Despite the odd neck "nerve pinch", Juddy is a real game-changer. Love or hate him, theres no denying he's a brilliant player... Now, how to get him into the Hawks midfield....?
  6. Bartels gheynes aside, I hope the Pussies maul the FhagPies...Meeow!!!!
  7. Unfortunately LPG still isnt as generally accepted as a truly mainstream fuel, apart from the commercial and of course taxi applications. Its very sad as we have an abundant source in Australia, and with governments both State and Federal offering incentives to convert to this fuel, its a crying shame it hasnt had a higher take-up rate. I await a drive in Fords LGI engined Falcon and see how it stacks up with other gas injection systems I have tried. As an OEM fitment, it better be very very good. You,re right, the diesel-powered SUV is, to a degree, a triumph of marketing, but also has its economy advantages. Just that diesel is overpriced to buggery, and in general, the diesel variants cant match the performance of the petrol powered versions. They do have their place however, so I guess its each to his own. Mal K

  12. Heli-coil, Re-coil, there are a few options that require you to drill then tap an insert specific thread into which you screw in your new threaded insert then bobs ya uncle. Hope you have enough space to hopefully do this in-situ.. Best of luck, Mal K
  13. There are some for sale on Feebay all the way up to 20". Im after some 19's for my Territory and they come in 8" width, whick works in well using 255/50/19 in the right wheel and tyre load rating (850kg and 104V) for the Territory. The pics look ok and as others have said, its an easy wheel to replicate, with a simple dark finish and not heaps of detail.

  16. I'd least hope that you could have the best of both worlds, smooth, soft shifts when driving gently and a firmer, more positive shift when you're right up it.. Given the sophistication of the trans and its inherent capabilites, this should be approachable I'd imagine?
  17. Got a price from VPW for an Aeromotive pump, delivered to Perth for just on $200. Ive ordered one and will get some feedback when I get it fitted up and retuned.
  18. Instantly.
  19. Long time between drinks for the 'ol toothless Tigers...eh? Was it 1980? So long ago I can barely remember..
  20. Every so often, especially if I leave the Territory for more than a week undriven, both exterior mirrors do a strange thing. The passenger side mirror swings outwards to its maximum adjustment and the drivers side mirror heads south for an excellent view of the road and kerb. In the time its parked up, no one enters the vehicle, it simply remains locked in the carport. Also, the kids are still not able to reach the glass to make some selected adjustments of their own, so Im at a loss to explain this phenenomena. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Poltergeist perhaps? Karmic intervention (I used to play heaps of practical jokes, but this is a bit different..) Mal K
  21. Legitimate?
  22. Email from GCG says pump is from the USA, Im considering one as my GSS-342 ended up not delivering as expected when I went to tune the Territory, rising AFR's meant that I had to cap boost at 12psi. Usually a Walbro delivers better that that, but I played it safe til I found a suitable replacement. Looking forward to 15lbs of boost. Mal K

  25. Im sure if you dig a bit you will find a few members who have undertaken the oil cooler bypass surgery. Im about to do the same simply as insurance against the possibility of destroying the ZF with coolant contaminated oil. Remember, as the vehicle warms up, the coolant actually warms the trans fluid, helping it up to correct operating temperature quickly. Later, the trans fluid temp exceeds the coolant temp, so it then acts as an oil cooler. Even though there is only a small difference in temps between the two, there is still some cooling effect. The biggest thing you must take into consideration is this: Am I prepared to do without the trans fluid warm-up that the factory heat exchanger provides, in order to maximise the additional cooling provided by an external cooler? I believe each application needs to take their own circumstances into close consideration, for example if you live in sunny and often under-water Queensland, your needs will be markedly different to those glorified public servants in frigid Canberra, just for an example (Nothing against either Banana-Benders or ACTerritorians.. } Its a personal call I guess, but I tend to err on the side of caution and saving my hardware from premature and inadvertant death.
