  1. SuperDan for his superb Ford Performance Radials chestnut!
  2. Ford Taurus aka Ford Cockeroach (Same sleek profile.. look pretty much the same coming or going..) Damn, get out the Mortein.. ha ha ha I remember getting a quote from Fraud for an exhaust system for a customer...$4000+ GST.. WTF? Still, heaps of fun for four fiddy bucks!
  3. Hey all, Got as far as fitting the 5" body Ballistic cat and much to my surprise, the exhaust sounds smoother and quieter at idle and now when you boot it, has a much nicer note, without actually sounding any louder...Double bonus I reckon, as the rest of the system is stock, minus the bung. Went to remove the stock cooler and realised that the intake air temp sensor is mounted in the cooler outlet and I had not checked before! Damn, now to fabricate an appropriate mount in the pipework.. Back to work, so I will check in with more progress soon. Mal K
  4. Yep, serious build mate, I would perhaps be careful to ensure that you dont grenade your ZF... torque truncation is your friend... Cant wait for the results though.. Hope it goes really well mate! Mal K
  5. Still no word on when we can resolve this glitch? Be nice to sell stuff to members on our own forum rather than Ebaying it.. Mal K
  6. Ditto! Lets sort this so all can see the bits I'd like to sell.. Cheers, Mal K
  7. If anyone can save a buck when building a car, its Ford. Never miss a trick!
  8. 5in Ballistic Cat is now fitted, strangely the exhaust note is quieter! Howls more when you're right up it though.. ha ha ha

  9. Dallas..
  10. Just to finish the previous post, after the cat jumped onto the keyboard and sent it anyway, Im hoping to spend Sunday testing and tuning, as long as I get the pipework correct. Ive got the trusty camera all ready so stay tuned for some action pics! Mal K PS Ive decided against removing the torque truncation in the tune, even though its good for a quicker time. ZF rebuilds are not on my radar just yet..
  11. Hi all, Ive freed up a weekend for vehicle modification, seeing as the pile of parts was finally becoming a hazard around the house ( the intercooler has lived under our coffee table for a number of months, much to the wifes disgust..) and its more than overdue. The Ballistic cat will get fitted tomorrow morning and then its on with the front mount fitting, after I fit the modified FG plenum, 60lb Dekas and revised air intake system, which actually draws air from inside the front bumper. I/C and intake kit are from Plazmaman, great product painted in stealth black and are actually very comprehensive, with heaps of bits Im yet to easily recognise! Still, once the fun starts Im willing to bet my left nut that I have forgotten something... The Brembo 6spots will be a little further down the list, as Im having to borrow a Tig seeing as mine had decided to give up the ghost at the 11th hour!
  12. KC (and the Sunshine Band!)
  13. Hi, I got my pair of gauge holders off Ebay, the people who sell then for XR's and suchlike did also do them for territorys, but Im not sure if they still do so. PM me for the sellers name, as I dont have it at hand just now, if you have no luck. Cheers, Mal K
  14. When it comes to saving money on production costs, no one bests Fraud... cheap-ass bastidges still dont even spend money painting the engine blocks in their locally produced models.... now that's Tight!!
