How Much Grog Do You Drink?
Had a couple of Camrey trappist beers the other night and to tell you the truth my Morgans Amber Ale with Wyeast 'American Ale II' yeast, brewed at 21 degC and conditioned for three weeks in the stubby was better. Compare $7.00 a stubbie for the Camrey and 50 cents for mine, I know I won't be shelling out for the Belgium Bilge again!!

How Much Grog Do You Drink?
OK......one of my favourite subjects........BEEEERRR!!!!!! Being an avid home brewer I do have a few stubbies conditioning in the shed all the time, at the moment last count was 240 stubbies in various stages of conditioning. Would say about 120 of those could be put into the fridge and quiet happily be consumed once the correct drinking temperature is reached. Now take note here, my brews take 3 weeks to condition, plus 7-10 days to brew, so you are looking at a month between making and consuming. Don't buy many commercial beers (why pay for bubbles, cause that's all you can taste with the majority of them, but if I do it is generally Coopers Sparkling Ale or Little Creatures "India Pale Ale"). My two alcohol free days are my night shifts, and I only have one or two stubbies at the end of day shifts. On my days off it's usually 4 - 6 stubbies plus a glass of red with dinner. Which is probably not too bad. Added bonus is if I do have a bender you don't get hangovers with home brew.....choice!!

Pay For Your Fuel In Wa!
And then they can go home and watch their pirated copy of 'Brokeback Mountain' together......... I suppose we have got to be thankful that our cops are better trained in the use of force than the yank cops, how was that soilder in the US the other night, you could tell he was a servicman by the dialogue he was using...."I mean you no harm' etc; (can't imagine your average crim using that kind of language), then when the copper tells him to stand up, which he does the cop shoots him 3 times, then struts around like the pea brained bantam rooster he is. I just hope this fool is not on the streets for very long and is locked up with the biggest, uglyest, gay, psychopath black guy in the whole US prison system......fukc'n moron.

Speed Cameras
Believe me mate so do I, but it's the Road Safety Council and the Police who are pushing to get them banned. Personally I believe it is just a Power Trip from these people to get detectors banned, there is no logic in their argument that it is about 'the message they are sending out by keeping them (detectors) legal', which as we all know is bullsh!t, the road crew alert on my detector is worth keeping it legal just for that. Also where are the statistics that show people who own detectors are more likely to cause accidents or deaths on our roads, again there are none because it just isn't true. If Multinovas are such a powerful tool in keeping the road toll down then prove it and take them out of service for say 6 - 12 months and see if the accident rate goes up. My money is on 'No it won't', as countries like Canada (some providences) have taken them OOS and it has made absolutely no impact on the road statistics, Government revenue yes..... In all the Man Management courses I have done, they all say that negative re-enforcement doesn't work, and hitting peoples hip pocket doesn't work as well as the 'powers to be' will lead you to believe. What is needed is some lateral thinking or out of the box thinking where people get rewarded for doing the right thing on our roads as well as being punished for doing the wrong thing, a bit of a balance let's say. I know road safety is not an easy thing to manage but taking draconian measures at every opportunity just is not working, example, Victoria, has some of the harshest road laws in the country, and they still had one of the highest road tolls this holiday season. NT has open speed limits and recorded zero fatalities, go figure. Surely there are some profound thinkers out there that have better solutions than what our current mob of officials and fat cats are coming up with. Rant........off, I should'nt read posts like this after night shift....OK where's me Teddy I'm off to the fart-sack for a couple of hours of well earned zeds.......night all.

You have got to be kidding?????? Who in their right mind would even contemplate bringing a law in like that!! Let alone enforce it?? Also there would be a lot of golfers out there that would see their short game slip drastically if they could'nt use a trusty pitching wedge of soft 9 iron on the ugly brutes.

Geezus you blokes talk about cracking a walnut with a sledgehammer........ The humble .22 magnum does a wonderful job, with the advantage that there is not too much mess to pick up or hose down. Although I must admit the .243 (70 grain hollow point) over say 150 meters does an admiral job as well.
