  1. I like the idea of the truetrac not having wearable components like the wavetrac, I'll gladly sacrifice ultimate drivability for ultimate durability.
  2. I'm looking at getting a true trac and new bushes so maybe you can help me. Did you go with an Eaton model or Harrop? How much was it? How much were the super pro bushes? And how much was your labor plus bearings, seals and oil? Hope you help me out a bit.
  3. I'm up for a new diff centre too now (bf manual sedan 395rwkw) what is the consensus on eaton vs harrop? Because 600 vs 1200 is a big DIFFerence... Sorry. I was quoted 1100 for labor plus bearings etc. What bushes are you guys putting in when you replace them? I don't want to get all this work done and them be tearing it back down to replace cracked bushes in 3 months time.
  4. Not to hijack the thread but I have had the same problem. Bf manual 395rwkw. Same circumstance. Cold. High speed/load. It originally was supposed to be on 16psi, boosting up to 22. I took it back, it went back on the dyno. Now it only creeps up to about 20 - Still throwing the p0236 code but much less often.. Both times it was tuned it was holding a solid 16psi on the dyno. I will be taking it back and the tuner is expecting me but it is a matter of getting some time to get it there.. So you think it is purely a tuning issue?
  5. But it does sound good, not too loud, doesn't drone.
  6. My bf manual is only making 394rwkw so I don't ow if this is even relevant... I've got a 4 inch dump into 3.5" single system by xforce and I've had HUGE issues with the fitment. Cost me an extra couple hours labour with the tuners trying in vain to get it to fit and an extra trip to a performance exhaust shop. The exhaust guy said he spent 3.5hrs on it (only charged for two). Had to heat the dump pipe to bend it up, elongate holes in the cat as it was rotationally out of step. And cut the muffler, re-weld it to get it to sit level, move the mounting brackets, bend the transitional pipes to clear the transmission tunnel... Etc etc. So not great for something that should really bolt straight on.
  7. I've got a 06 bf xr6t manual with 394rwkw and my actual consumption (liters filled vs trip meter) is 15-16lt/100 but my computer says it should be 11.6? I drive a pretty economic run to work (50ks, 2 sets of lights and some half of it is freeway) so I think it should be more around the 11-12 that the computer says. I can smell fuel when over half a tank before start up just standing near the car.. Any ideas? Last month I spent nearly a grand on fuel! Any ideas?
  8. Keep the sloppy clutch so your gearbox doesn't break? :/<br />
  9. I don't know. He says he has had the same problem with Siemens 60lbers a couple of times too, but I'm not sure with he is referring to those couple being the only time he has used them or if he is saying that it's worked on some and not on others.. He told me they said they would get back to him by the end of the week. <br /><br />I'll post up some Dyno sheets with afr, and boost.<br /><br />Do these look right? Is the boost normally all squiggly like this?<br /><br />Also my car threw a code at me today p0238 which is high boost sensor reading?<br /><br />I was driving past so I dropped into see him about it and he plugged in and said he "removed the threshold so it wouldn't flash at me" but it seems a bit strange to me.<br /><br />My scan gauge reads about 17.5psi flat when I have checked it on full boost which is higher than on the Dyno sheet too, I questioned him on that and he said the weather/temp etc can effect that and not to worry about it.<br /><br />Yes on the new clutch. Bad idea, I realize that now. Clutch seems fine at the moment though, trying to go easy on it.<br /><br />
  10. So has anybody had any joy getting support from xforce regarding Ill or non fitting pieces? Surely they should replace the cat for me given it doesn't fit at all (it leaks!).
  11. I just had a full xforce system put on. It sounds amazing. Major dramas with fitting it though. Am in the process of chasing up xforce about supplying me with a new cat as the one they supplied has terrible flanges and it leaks and ruined the fitting of the rest of the exhaust. Not happy I'm sure I'm going to have to pay for the labour to swap it at the very least :/
  12. I too hope I haven't glazed mine :/. Made the bad decision to try a 2nd gear Australia day burnout after maybe only 500km of use. No tyre spin. Only clutch... 387rwkw.<br />Today I thought I smelled clutch after a 3rd gear pull.<br />Hmmmm.
  13. It fits but it is very. Very... Very tight.<br />Not even a fraction of a millimeter.<br />1. Tear the whole front of the car off. There isn't an easy way to get this thing on.<br />2. Put the silicon piece on the turbo with the plasma man logo oriented as shown.<br />3. Cut the section of metal away that will be needed to clear the pod as shown.<br />4. Insert the s bend from the front through towards the turbo.<br />5. Swear.<br />6. Swear some more.<br />7. Have a coffee.<br />8. Try again. It does fit.<br />9. Do the rest of the intercooler and piping at the same time because youve already done a lot of hard yards so why not.
  14. If its the same as the under battery that came with my rapid 2.1 kit then a smaller battery isn't going to make a difference unless you cut the steel that is holding th battery up? <br />
  15. <br />So my car just got back from the tuner and he is trying to chase up a problem he had tuning it, apparently he couldn't access the low scale on the injectors? He says he has had it happen with one other car before. It's tuned and is running great 90% of the time on 16psi but it's grumpy around carpark speeds and idling when it's just been started and also it missed during a 50% throttle 6th gear roll on on the freeway this morning (just getting around a truck) probably around 2800rpm.<br />He uses vcm. Any ideas?
  16. So I just got my car back from the tuner last week - it makes 387rwkw now But I've got a problem with the exhaust. Apparently the cat has a problem with one of its flanges being on the wrong angle or orientation or the weld has pulled it so its no longer flat or some such thing. In any case the tuner had to heat the exhaust and bend the sh*t out of it to make it fit over the cross member... He says he has installed heaps of xforce stuff on these and it's the worst one he has seen for years. Usually they need a bit of fitting at the back where they normally hit but this one was just terrible. He had to good up the rear cat flange and it is still leaking. So I've contacted the person I bought it from and I now have to get some photos for him to send away to xforce to hopefully get a replacement cat.In any case I'm not very happy as I'm still going to at the very least have to pay for the labour to replace it and I've now got a spot in the exhaust that has been heated and bent. Has anybody else had this kind of problem before?
  17. Are you taking about a bf Matt? His is a BA. Different kettle of fish.
  18. I've got a bf turbo with a t56 and mine had a similar thing.<br /><br />Ever since I bought it (at 100,000k's) it was a little hard to get into gear. Over the next 10000 it gradually got worse and then one day completely f*cked out like you are saying. I'd have to kick the clutch a few times to get enough pressure to get it in gear. That was on the way home from work. <br />The next day I took it to the gearbox shop and the slave cylinder was f*cked.<br />The stock slave cylinder is inside the gearbox and is made of plastic. Common problem.<br />I replaced it with a mal wood opt 3+.<br />I'm still on the run in period so the jury is still out on how good the new clutch is, but I've heard good things from others on here.<br /><br />However I think it may have been slipping this Arvo in 3rd on a full throttle pull because I smelled something suspiciously like clutch when I got to the servo 2 minutes later. I'm running 387rwkw though. The clutch is meant to be good for up to 410rwkw.<br /><br />They come with an alloy slave cyc and billet piston though. <br /><br /><br /><br />
  19. Who did your tuning henz?
  20. Well I'm going to pick the stuff up and pay in cash. So if you think I'm going to pay and leave with nothing? Well then yeah that would be pretty dumb. Does anyone actually have a problem with these systems when they are on the car? Given that I'm looking for low-mid 300rwkw with good drivability. (with maybe the room to grow a little in a year or two...) Henz you're running 60lb injectors on your 400Rwkw ute... I'm still undecided as to wether its worth putting in ID1000's. Seems like gold plating.
  21. Yeah I think you are probably right about the injectors...
  22. Ok so - As far as rapids apparent bad reputation with communication and sending out parts: He is as far as I can tell the cheapest by quite a margin, this alone counts for a lot. Despite the flaming I have read on here, if you go to the power vs mods thread, every 2nd car is using his stuff meaning a lot of people must be getting on ok with it. So I texted him saying I was interested in buying the v2.0 intercooler kit and full xforce 3.5" mild quiet sedan exhaust and does he have them in stock and where is he located incase I can pick them up? He replied to me within an hour saying yes he has them in stock, he is located in seven hills and to arrange a time if I wanted to come pick them up. So far we have decided on next Friday morning and he has given me a discount for cash. So we will see but hopefully cutting out the postage middle man will smooth things out regarding other peoples bad experiences. I'll let you all know how it goes as far as my dealings... Now back to the mods - I've got the walbro in tank pump waiting. Im planning on buying 60lb dekkas on fleabag. And I'd like to get and braided oil feed line with inline filter if anyone knows the best place to get one of these? I think that's it! Have I missed anything? I don't really know how much power to expect but I think I've covered most of my bases here.. Oh and I think I'll get some gauges too, I've already got a scan gauge but I'm thinking a twin gauge pod with a boost and oil temp gauge from super cheap. $100 for the pod and $80 each for the saas brand gauges. Kind of ranting here and my budget has completely gone out the window but yeah, I think I'd rather do it right the first time and not be driving around for 5 years thinking "I wish I hadn't cheaped out on the full exhaust, I wonder how much more responsive it would be?"
  23. On the fuel pump front, I have a new drop in pump waiting to go that came with the car so that will be going in. I was thinking about just doing the cat exhaust wise as its a lot of cash for the full exhaust, and go with the bigger intake/intercooler mod. Maybe rapid $1400 system. How much power will the standard dump and exhaust with high flow cat flow? I don't want to delete the centre muffler. Also has anyone done this? Just changed out the cat? How difficult/how much did the install cost at the exhaust place? I've seen the venom brand 5" cat with merger pipes on eBay for $650 but that seems pretty expensive for what it's is and I'd have to butcher it if I wanted to go to a full exhaust in the future anyway.. And 60lb injectors seem like a better idea to me incase I want more power in the future..
