the last 2 posts hit the nail on the head... its not that people want to break the law or disagree with all speed limits, its just a fact that the majority of them are set much too low for current vehicles and road quality. New roads nowadays are so smooth, wide and safe whilst cars are just getting safer and safer in terms of internal saftey mechanisms like airbags and crumple zones and also in terms of mechanical ability to stop etc. Yet limits are continuously being lowered. I'd have no problem with cameras etc being deployed in high risk areas with a history of fatalities, not just the busiest road with lots of hiding places to maximise revenue, cause that's exactly what they do.

^^ yeh exactly !! and no one pays RRP anyway so that 1750 would drop a bit too.... going with about 20 mates but most are staying around Legian so we'll stay the last bit at Shanti.. stayed in sydney a while back @ $475 per night 5 star Rydges on circ quay and the Santika Beach Resort in Bali @ $150 a night absolutely shat all over it by a factor of about 100 zillion.. much disparity in aussie crackpipe pricing for everything pretty much.. my plan is to win about $3.75m in lotto, pay off my mortgage, invest the rest and live on the interest at $2750 per week after tax while renting my house out and live between thailand, bali, perth and gold coast.. plus US/UK holidays of course... and lease a CONVERTIBLE lambo just for skids out the front of your work haha since I know you love convertibles hahahahah

I dont get why its a known fact that roadside trees are strong mofos and will not give way to a car, yet the RTA govt etc still keeps them right on the side of the road for 100's and 1000's of kms all over Australia?? I would love to know the stats for deaths caused by tree regardless of speed.. surely the govt can just mow down all trees thicker than a wrist for 50m each side of the highway?? It may cause a few greenies to spit the dummy but fark them as it will be guaranteed to save a few lives a year at the very least... which is the supposed whole point of the revenue raising I mean speed kills propaganda?

^^ exactly !!! 200kph is all fine and dandy - hey the germans have been doing it for years on unrestricted public roads with probably a lot less accident-per-km-travelled ratio than we have here - but defo not 200 in a 70kph zone !!! IMO it all comes down to whether your speed was appropriate for the conditions, f*ck the posted limit as that only has a bearing on any legal outcomes if you have a crash. as for the QLD stats re speeding and police force and medias attention on it, its just all about revenue and vote grabbing... that's all its ever come down to and all it ever will.. no pollie/govt has ever given a sh*t about saving lives whilst preaching the speed kills propaganda !! anyone that thinks otherwise is seriously deluded.

^^ yeh true, theres always *beep* out there who will try and rip people off no matter what the industry.. I make it a point to never ever ever give any place that ive found trying to pull a dodgy any business or even chance to quote anything from me, our company or all my mates etc.. the Ford dealer who tried to stitch me was a prime example, so far ive sent about 8 business associates looking for multiple company car purchases to other dealers just on principle... I think so far its worked out to be about 3 x F6's, 2 x GT's, 5 x XR6T's, 5 x XT's, 4 x G6ET's, 12 x Rangers and about 15 x Focus's hahahah that's a nice chunk of profit they missed out on.. pingpingpings!!!
