  1. Have you tried putting OEM spark plugs back in... We have noticed people putting different plugs in (WRX) and the coil packs are not lasting... This is caused by a difference in the resistance in the spark plug and sends the pluse back up the plug to the coil pack causing the coil back to fail... Std coil packs (Ending with "AA") from the early BA are starting to fail over the 100k mark and most seem to fail around the hot weather spell we had...

I just got a question... How safe is this surge tank??? Their doesnt seem to be any protection in a accident??? isnt the left rear the most common side to get hit? Can this be made on the inside the rail so it has some type of protection? I am sure insurance companys wouldnt be too impressed with it setup like that as its a high chance of burning the car down quickly.
  4. Your tuner should have changed it when he first tuned your car... Ask your tuner to fit it and re adjust the settings to suit the new one ...

  14. This got blocked on my car which caused my turbo to seize up only 2k after a service by ford .. after looking into it more ford never change or look at this filter. for the $60 part and how fine the filter is its worth it to change it in my view.. I am even looking at a inline pressure gauge to put in the line near the front just so I know there is a flow of oil going to the turbo.. I noticed my F6 was a little diffent to the pics ya supplied but that was only int e pressure switch area .. and I did all the work from the top easy after pull out the air box and top cross over pipe.. but a nice detailed instruction..

  19. I had my front bar replaced after someone reversed into my car .. I got the Special paint additive (rubber stuff) to reduce the stone chips .. it hasnt made any differance at all .. From what I have found out the bars on FPV range are made out of a different plastic to the rest of falcon range .. this is why the other bars can be plastic welded and the FPV ones can not because they are a plastic comp bar.. The panel show says beacuse the front bar is so flat it will chip easy as its gets full impact with the stone I even hate the fact that the lights lenses are plastic mine have heaps of chips and I dont tailgate.. but when ya got to bash a 6 Ltr HSV its worth one or two My car has done 20k now .. and the front grills, F6 badge and intercooler both have paint peeling off them .. so will be getting new ones next time I drop by when they replace the air box cover after some little tight ass apprentise decided that mine with the F6 badge looked better on his car when he was servicing my car .. also my car is getting retinted for the 4th and last time before I go somewhere else..and I thik my 1st gear syn is stuffed as I cluncks and grinds into gear while going slow into lights But still after all the sh*t .. I love my car and I wouldnt want to swap it at all .. I just wish I went out and brought it earlier..

This is what I got back from FPV a while back I think this figure must inclued the press cars aswell "Thank you for your e-mail to Ford Motor Company of Australia Limited. In relation to your question I can confirm that we built 518 BA series F6 Typhoon." I havent heard of anyone having a F6 passed the high 400 .. does anyone know of a 500 build phoon???
  21. Hey Buf-Phoon .. sorry mate but that's no HPF sticker across the top ... its a "ORSM FORD CRUISERS " sticker .. as for performance it belongs in the " BLUE POWER " (Chris) Garage for all that stuff ..
  22. next time I will remember to Print Screen I think ... Thanks for changing it .. at least we now know where we are going ..
  23. just one problem .. I think rob doesnt know where we are actually going .. Heading is "Cruise: Phillip Island 7th August., Cummon guys, come along!" and then rob says "ROUTE: Monash Fwy to avoid traffic lights, through City Link and stop at the Shell Servo just before the westgate bridge on the Left. Continue over the bridge then join on to the Western Ring Road. Turn off the Western Hwy Exit, turn left and continue on the Western Hwy untill we reach Ballarat" Hey rob I think ya heading the wrong way to Phillip Island ???? Either one we go to u can count me in ..
  24. ORSMF6 replied to FPV073's topic in FPV & Tickford
I love the rear bar on the Typhoon .. looks good to me ..
  25. Well I asked the guys from FPV when I saw the car come off the production line this is what they told me .. 1. Drive it like u stole to these points 2. Dont rev it over 4500 PRM for the first 800k 3. Only give it 3/4 throttle ( I put a block under carpet to stop myself ) and then go for ya life after 800k 4. get the oil changed at 3000k service I followed this and mine only used 1 ltr of oil by the 3000k service and got oil changed and at 12000k now its still on full .. and I can bet a GT/GTP in a drag so I would say my engibe liked it .. Enjoy the car and welcome to the club ..
