Ah good thanks for that, I try and find it. Yeh it's a real PITA people hitting the picks at 100kmh to 80 when their quite ok doing 100,,,they'll get rammed by a truck soon.

Was driving down KooWeeRup rd yesterday just out of Healesville and every car that passed me flashed their headlights..OK so there's a speed camera ahead thanks guys. So the cars in front of me back off to 80kmh and I'm sitting behind them. It's a 100kmh road, clearly signposted at both ends. Looked at my speedo and yep I was doing 80kmh as well, but I got FLASHED!!!! WTF?? I've been sitting at 80 for the past 2km.

Ah ok,,,I'll get them checked out. The tyre guy said to check all the front end bushes as well so I'll do that Friday. Thanks Senna.

This is soooo tricky I haven't been ablt to put my finger on it yet. Tyres are Falkens done about 10,000km Wheels balanced just 2 weeks ago and all good. Here's the issue and I hope someone may be able to help. I can take off quite ok hit 110kmh no probs no vibrations, then just cruising along the freeway at 100kmh the vibes start lightly then get stronger and stronger. I back off to 80 still the same, so have to stop. I take off again and it's gone, but just cruising for a few minutes at 90-100kmh then it starts again. Tyre pressures are all even have been recommended to use 42psi and it is still the same. Now this doesn't happen all the time, I can go for a blast through the Black Spur and as I'm cornering and putting pressure on all corners it doesn't do it, it's only when the road is real smooth and the resonance starts. It's been happening for a few weeks and no one seems to know. Wheel bearings also feel fine, had the car on the hoist and can't see anything. Would appreciate any help. CHeers

Yep I use the Nulon Street TRack 15w-50. I've been using the Magnatec 10w40 but on the track the oil pressure drops too low for my liking after about 6 or 7 laps. Since I've been using the Nulon Street/Track the oil pressure is good all the way through to end of the session. I even found the same when pumping through the hills, Magnatec starts to thin in the summer after 20 or so km of hard driving, then again the turbo is pretty red hot as well, but the Nulon has never given me low oil pressure.

Those handhelds you just posted up are not 5watts. They're only 2. Also look at the Vertex VX426 if you want something that will last, it's got all the aussie channels, normal 40, plus can be programmed to take the 80 narrowband channels when that's introduced. And it's 5 watts output. 15km range for ANY 5 watt radio is a no go, unless you're sitting on a hilltop and have line of site to the guy you're talking to. The handheld won't cut it either, although it has 5 watts output, the antenna is extremely inefficient and most of the power is loaded into the antenna. For a real 15km with a few watts you're going to need a car mounted antenna, either ground independent or body mounted. Best you could hope for is about 1 to 2km with those 2 watt radios.

New red light speed camera going in Warrigal road Princes hwy I'd say around Feb. They've been testing there with the typical ground robot so you'll see the kerb being pulled up in the next couple of weeks. Not the Bob Jane side, the other heading towards Dandenong.

Got the old one out of mine if you want it Danny....hasn't been on charge for 6 months and just checked it, 12.28v with no load so might be ok till you get a new one.

I've got a bucketload of comms equipment, radios and antennas hangin off the car everywhere. I need a good security system installed, but need it installed properly,,not a JB/Autobarn thing. Anyone lead me in the right direction? Chers.

Finally got my car back after some old d1ck rear ended me,,the repairer was fantastic, even replaced all my diff bushes hahaha.. Spotted XRLNT in Huntingdale rd.

I haven't seen Boost 98 for a few years here in Melbourne. I used to use it (headsex tuned) and it ran pretty well but 10% less mileage. United switched to the normal 98 called Premium98 and still ran ok. They started the Premium100 which is also great. I no longer use United though as she still runs smoother on BP Ultimate.

I have another car that had a leak. Used Caltex PS Fluid with a conditioner and it just kept leaking. The bottle said the conditioners would soften the seals and stop the leaks, they didn't. It was out of fluid again so pulled into the Shell and grabbed a bottle of their own PS Fluid. Topped up the car and it was fine, never leaked again. I've topped up the BA-MK2 T and never had a problem.

Dude don't panic, the BA handles the speed ok. Up to 240 is pretty normal and smooth, 250 starts to get light and at 260 it's a handful. (Measured on GPS timers) No need to stomp on the brakes either unless you're taking it too close to the edge or getting uncomfortable with the speed. "Also - make sure you've got a long slow down area as my brakes whent to the floor before I had even slowed to 100 and I wasnt braking at 100%." Huh?? something wrong there, were they shuddering at all? MIne pulls up pretty easily from 260 with plenty left. Maybe change your brake fluid. And yeh the speed limiter is removed with the edit.

2005 BA MK2 6sp. nearly on 150,000km. Been running 300kw for the past 3 years. I take it pretty easy cos it's my daily driver and I'm a rep so get pulled up VERY regularly without reason. No issues really apart from the normal door actuator which I replaced.(drivers side)

MIne is the same. Chewed the left rear inside all the way to the steel. Camber kit from Peddars is $445 fitted. Had another alignment done a few weeks ago (without the kit) as I just got a set of Falkens, have done about 2000kmand the wear looks ok at this stage. My wait another 2-3000km and re-measure. If the wear is bad I'll get the rear camber kit installed.
