  1. LOL,,,,yeh I was looking for older posts but couldn't find 1..... I got a bit of a shock when I saw the same thing this week, hehe. How far back do the posts go, or how long has the forum been going? 2002 is a guess????
  2. Yes very nice.
  3. Where you in the orange BA ute? If so was good to meet you and I hope you got home ok mate. (With the not so good diff)
  4. Just noticing that it was done in the correct colour as well, "RAPID" LOL
  5. The REAR muffler???/ WOOHOOO, excellent. Please post a clip.
  6. Wouldn't mind having a listen to it actually. What boost are you running? I did the standard filter on the plumback mod the other day and it's pretty loud.
  7. Yeh I just did that mod myself. It's sooooo loud now. But you can hear it venting pretty much all the time. Even at low rpm there's some whoosh when changing gears and it seems like it takes too long to actually "blow off" Think it's time to change the tiny vacuum lines that came with the boost guage.
  8. Excellent, thanks BA XTC, I'll check it out on the weekend.
  9. Where is it on the sedan?? I'll do mine as well. Thank ya.
  10. Too true SCRIBR. So far this is my 3rd time. 1st time was 4 weeks notice, second time was on the day, that was at Cisco when the dot com bubble burst, 400 in Aus lost their jobs that day, and the 3rd time was 2 years ago, but I got 9 months notice on that one. Every time I was a contractor so NO PAYOUT at all, only 4 weeks pay. ah well, I've been in communications most of my life and there's always work out there for me. Was very scary for a long time though.
  11. As of 23rd July no more warranty. We won't be able to get any spare parts at all, that's all finished. There'll be no one able to fix our engines cos no one will know anything about them. I think it's all over for us T owners from Monday. If you find any I6 engines in second hand shops anywhere, snap em up..... Tongue in Cheek...LOL Wasn't this actually happening in 2010? I saw the news tonight and everyone was crying over losing their jobs and houses. But I thought they'd get a payout plus keep working till the contract was finished in 2010???? Dunno. Think we'll be right for many years to come.
  12. Mal, Well done! Just for that I'll be calling you for my new clutch when the POS motorsports clutch I have in drops its load! That one HAD to be put in due to an ongoing issue with my (previous) tuner. Meggs, jump on that before I do,,,hahaha.
  13. eeeyyyyyyyy,,,, Congrats mate, to you and your wife...
  14. XF,,,,, If you have a look on the left side where there's a self tapper holding the mesh in, just under that is a bolt. The plate, about 50 or 60mm long and 25mm wide, should have a small hole drilled in to one end. You mount it onto this bolt and it protrudes out to hold the bumper up. The one I saw was bent slightly to hold the bar up. You adjust the bend to suit how far you want the bar lifted. Both sides have the same bolt in the same position. Mate, sorry I can't be more help. I might be able to get some pics over the weekend to post.
  15. There was a thread on this about 12 months ago. Can't find it but,,,looking in the lower part of the grill, at the edges of the black plastic part under the number plate, just behind there are 2 bolts. You can drill a small plate about 50mm long and mount onto the bolts with the plate protruding onto the black plastic part. This will hold/lift the bumper back to original position. Sorry I've explained it a bit vague, but I just got home and it's pouring rain and dark. There are definately some pics on here of someone that's done it.
  16. Warranty job, Mine was the same at 12 months old. They fixed it at the next service. It stopped about half way up then you had to restart to get it up the rest of the way. When it was fixed it was then twice as fast as the passenger side...
  17. What?????????/ Mate I feel for ya. That's $1500 of the hard earned. That would kill me. Try the appeal process, may give you some time.
  18. Well done, awesome result. Amazing how much progress has been made with all the R&D gone into the right places. Looking forward to the final results. Will have some unbelievable power.
  19. You don't really have to live with bargey handling. Like ExAreSix has already said, a strut brace will make no difference to the T at all, the strut towers are well strong enough without it. Unless you're running slicks all the time on the track you won't even feel a difference with the brace on a T. For some spirited mountain driving and the occasional track day a set of coilovers like Bilsteins or Tien will do the trick, for lots of track days with say RE55s or similar a set of DMS coilovers will do wonders. ++ for lotsa fun... {EDIT} Oops sorry, didn't see the (being a car which I really shouldn't be modding) bit. If it's a lease yeh you wouldn't wanna be doing track days either unless it's your own lease. Give us a bit more info and may be able to advise a bit.
  20. Very nice power figure there. What mods do you have?
  21. yeh pretty much the same here. average 26kmh, according to the gps reset at every fuel fill. 350 to 380 per tank all city peak hour. When I go to the country, up the highway to Albury, I can get nearly 700km/tank. Absolutely awesome. 1 traffic light from my place to parents.
  22. What colour?
  23. Yup agreed Autobarn is good. Got mine mixed there and it's a great match for colour. I know another guy got a spray can for his Maxima there. They didn't have the code but matched the paint pretty well.
  24. I had a look at the new Bridgestone Adrenalin's last night while I was gettin some RE55's fitted. (Not on the T) "Own the street with Adrenalin Potenza RE001 high performance tyres. The foundation of high performance driving is high level stability. The Adrenalin Potenza RE001's broader ground contact area delivers more steering information from the tyres. With better straight line stability, front / rear balance and faithful rear tyre tracking, the result is greater control giving drivers more options in varying conditions." The guy told me they'd be very well priced, and good competition for lots of other performance tyres. May pay to check em out, I'd be interested if anyone else on the forum has tried them on the street.
  25. A MAN is clinging to life after a car he was travelling in skidded across an intersection and struck a petrol bowser in Melbourne's south-east. The man was one of four men travelling in a Ford Turbo along Westall Road, Clayton, when the driver lost control about 1.40am (AEST). The north-bound car went sideways across the Princes Highway intersection, hit a pole and flipped, then struck a petrol bowser at a service station on the corner. The bowser ignited, but a truck driver on the scene quickly extinguished the flames. The injured man, a back-seat passenger, was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition. A second passenger and the 24-year-old driver were taken to hospital with injuries. The third passenger fled, but police found him hiding behind a large bin in a nearby street. All four men are believed to be aged in their early to mid-20s. The Major Collision Investigation Unit will examine the crash scene.
