1. The reason why this car looks like a modern Cobra is that it is a replica of the modern cobra concept car that Ford have created http://www.google.co.nz/search?source=ig&a...&meta=lr%3D Neat looking car, and definately would be fun. They have a V10 motor in the concept car, so V8, inline 6 etc - not as original anyway, so have what you want (by the way my Cobra replica has a 454 chev)
2. Hi Pat, Sorry to muck you about, but I have decided not to go ahead, I have a few costs happening soon - count me in if there is another round in a couple of months.
3. I thought about importing my car when I purchased it new, as Aus prices were a lot cheaper back then (probably still are). But... you lose all warranty comeback (I think) and it was harder to do basically. I agree - cutting the range seems absurd, you dont have to stock all types - if someone wants a 5 speed manual FPV ute with XR bodykit and vinyl seats for example - make them one! I am surprised the Falcons are not selling a bigger share in NZ, I was sure that there were more Falcons than Commodores on the road - but obviously not.
4. Excuse my ignorance, but are the ones you can get better than: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HID-Bi-Xenon-Lights...A1%7C240%3A1318 and... the cheaper ones: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HID-Bi-Xenon-Lights...A1%7C240%3A1318
5. Now that I have got your attention: no more Turbo utes in NZ, and no more manual utes http://www.tickfordclub.org.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4471 no more Turbo utes. part of article: Falcon retains its fourth spot on NZ’s model charts and gets the smallest cut. Only G6 will leave the range. Falcon sales since the FG’s launch number 2181, of which only 264 were G6. Mr Auger said the G6 was pitched too close to XR6 and potential buyers stepped up to G6E or ET. Meanwhile, the Falcon ute line-up has been slashed. Only XR6 4.0 five-speed auto and XR8 5.4-litre six-speed auto variants remain, with XL cab-chassis and pickup and XR6T pickups gone.
6. Pat - would you mind sending to New Zealand? Any idea on postage, and how can I pay (Credit Card, PayPal etc, as I cant direct deposit into Aus account from here).
7. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BA-BF-FALCON-MKIII-...A1%7C240%3A1318 When was a mk3 made?
8. I am sure you could get a bonnet for a lot cheaper than they seem to sell for on trademe.
9. Maybe during the off season you could put the car on a diet - bonnet, boot in fibreglass, get another set of doors from the wrecker, put lexan in and no openers/motors, remove the seats for the drags. This would be achievable for around $1500 - might make quite a difference, and all swappable with a days work (put normal doors, bonnet and boot back on, interior back in).
10. They should have given you a loan car surely????
11. I just got some Kumho V700 Victoracers for my Cobra - and they are just as sticky as my slicks. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...VictoRacer+V700 Not sure if they have 19s, but had my weird sizes of 275/40/17 and 315/35/17 See Also: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp...mp;x=29&y=7
12. I have SSL springs in the rear by King, they made a huge difference in handling, and I have towed trailers full of building material, caravans, car trailers and a boot full of gear, and had no problems. As long as you have a good balanced trailer, with not too much weight pushing down on the towbar, you will be fine. You do need to chop one lump off the rear bump stops to stop it bottoming to early.
13.
Sorry mate they're all gone... I've accually got a few still left but I just want to make sure everyone gets them, befor I sell them. None are being made at this stage either, so could be a wait until I can get another group buy going, or even just normal stocks.
Thats ok mate - let me know if you end up with one to sell (PM would be good) otherwise I will have to be patient!
14.
Hey mate, Yeah Paypal, Visa, mastercard is fine. Ive had NZ guys do direct deposits recently too.
Hi mate - sorry I forgot all about the group buy. Any chance of one still posted to NZ? (a bubble envelope on slow post should be fine). Can you find a price for me (no GST needed as in NZ) and let me know, and how to pay (I dont know how NZ guys have done direct deposits). PS - your inbox is full! Cheers Bevan.
15. Hi Chris, Do you have any way of someone from NZ paying? We cant direct deposit from NZ into Aussie accounts, and bank drafts etc make it too expensive. Do you take PayPal?
16. Anyone tried a pod mounted gauge like this http://www.banoggle.com/products/whistler/...ce=pricegrabber I would like to put one in my tripod.
17. It is road registered, driven in a Targa, looks pretty driveable to me!
18. It is possible (there is a thread on here with pics of one I saw) but... a major change, and... if you are asking, you are unlikely to be able to do it yourself!
19. I have had this kit fitted to my car - worked for a while, but......back to same old now
20. I would have said that is more likely to happen from an undercoat not being sanded or something - ie shiny on shiny doesnt stick. I hope my car doesnt start that! I have seen another car with a huges patch missing off a door - but cant remember what colour it was.
21. I thought it was "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it wear crotchless panties".
22. Dont be a bunch of old women! I would have loved to have done something like that at 12 years old!
23. This is a Pole Position Tripod (Intune are resellers) but the pic shows Autometre gauges not X force as supplied by Pole Position
24. I dont think you need to re-gap plugs for NAs - just Turbos
25. Looks good, nice looking car in black. However.... the more photos I see - the more I think the FG looks like an SS VE Commodore. I dont think Ford have retained as much of a difference in style that they used to have.
