Flashed...makin Funny Noise

Hey Guys,

I have a BA XR6 NA, I just bought a flash tuner for the car and flashed it to

98 octane tune (by the way is this the regular premium from Mobil?) now every

time I rev the car it makes a funny noise. the noise is similar to the one in the video,

it sounds like its back firing. should I be worried about this noise? whats it

caused from? thanks

Isn't Mobile Premium 95 not 98???

I think the Mobile 8000 is 98 and the Mobil 5000 is 95.

But check first.

I had 98 octane (8000) in the tank when I flashed it. I drove to mobil to check

I was getting too paranoid. do you know what the exhaust noise might be from?

I cant hear any backfiring in that video... nor anything else that would have me worried

I take it you are using a generic tune (one that came with the flasher) did you re-gap your plugs? and put it on a dyno just to check the tune is okay

I dont think you need to re-gap plugs for NAs - just Turbos
