  1. Happy Birthday Gary Crawley!

  2. Hi Guy's & Girls I don't want to sound like an old fart, (which I am) but after looking at the members on the forum I have been wondering what has happened to all the old original members. I know some fell out for personel reasons and some left because of differences with other members but I do know that these people founded this forum. I remember well when we would drive interstate to go to a BBQ or dinner with friends and talk cars. Some of us have been through hard times and as friends we always offered help and support. I could mention many names that have dissappeared for what ever reason, but I feel that as a forum of people who love cars I should remind all members this is a social forum. We all love cars (FORDS) I remember the pizza nights in Dickson (ACT) just to get togeather, the banter on the cruises when we took the wifes and kids (sorry Cro, Aaron, Mic etc) We all had good times. It's not just about how fast your car is or how quick you can get up the mountain but the friendship and the love of fine machines. (whatever make) So I,am calling all old Farts & young ladies (they know who they are) to get togeather and if they no longer post ask their friends to let them know. People come and go, friends and good cars don't Regards Gary (creepy)
  3. Hi Guy's The lads at FORDMODS.com are organizing a overnight Snowies trip at the end of October or early November. This is a joint cruise between NSW, Victoria etc. If we don't organize one ourselves maybe we can team up. Jump on their forum for details. Regards Gary
  4. I feel sorry for you. I know exactly how you feel, I'v been off work since the 11th December and won't go back till the end of March. (at the earliest) I also can't drive, it sucks big time. I,m sick of dvd's and day time TV, as hiddeous said at least we have the net to playwith. All the best. Good luck Creepy
  5. I remember The romantic spa's, the quite mood music at the Yamba pub. and who could forget the cruise leader, Lumpy and his pimp mobile. Let's do it again. Creepy
  6. Hi Ya-all Is any of the local boy's from the highlands going to the Bong-Bong races tomorrow. If you are see ya there. Creepy
  7. The colour is "Sandstorm" it's a 75th anniversary colour, both on the Falcon in Aus and the Mustang in the States. Thanks for all the kind comments and yes I would like to ditch the tail lights (on the car when I purchased it) but I have a problem, the wife likes them, I will work on that. The car is lowered and sits on 20" Verde Black Label Kaos in Gloss Black with a machined lip. I find the Tickford motor quite responsive, (not like a T of course) but I guess I'm getting a little older. And yes I will try and catch up with you guys on a cruise soon, that's if you don't mind a vintage vehicle tagging along Regards Gary (Creepy)
  8. I'm not having much luck with the pics Hope these work Gary
  9. Hi All Here's some pics of the new beast, I know it's not a "T" but at least it's a Tickford. [ http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/2441/1141465s.jpg' alt='1141465s.jpg'> I Hope you approve Regards
  10. Congrats Mate Bloody great looking car. I looked at buying a AUXR8 (black of course) about a month ago but settled on the Ghia, (must be an age thing) it's only a six, but at least it's a Tickford It's had a few mods (more to come) So as Mick has suggested mod, mod, mod. Gary p.s. a few pics of the beast.
  11. Bring back the "Coffs" cruise. Maybe even Lumpy would lead.
  12. Hi All This idea is from the Z Forum If it's been done before I'm sure you will tell me. And keep it clean.
  13. Hi Robbo I live in Moss Vale but no longer have my T, There are a lot of nice T's getting around the Highlands. I'll keep an eye out for your car. Regards Gary
  14. stroke
  15. Hi Guy's I'm not sure of the techo details of how and why but I know it's causing a lot of butt covering in the states. These are NOT Factory Chrome wheels, the dealers had them done as a promotion. A little more info Regards Gary
  16. Hi Guys These pics should be better resolution Regards Gary
  17. Hi Guy's Just thought I would post up some pics of what can happen if you chrome an alloy wheel, this is from the 350Z forum in the states. These wheels were apparently chromed by dealers before delivery. The guy was very lucky he was going slow but the wheel did hit two oncoming cars. No one was hurt. The forum guys say it is very dangerous to chrome alloys unless they know what they are doing. Regards Gary
  18. Nice!!! 300 Kw at the rear wheels, must see my bank manager. I dream. Gary
  19. The Canberra crew Ok guys we were in the Capital the weekend and we did not see one T, saw a couple of nice GT's, but no T's. When we lived there you would always see T's cruising around, the weather was fine so where are you all. It's time you organised a cruise, some of the older folks will remember our little dinner or lunch get togeather (Zeffirelli's Dickson etc) So come on guy's, if you organise we will come down for a cruise. (Bev & Gary) The South Coast Guy's might also be interested. Regards Gary
  20. Hi All Since I sold Christine I have been looking for a new car. (mainly weekend ride) Against speculation I DID not buy a hairdressers car. (Mazdz MX5) Instead, to feed my mid-life crisis Bev and I now own a Black (of course) 2006 Nissan 350Z Track. It is such a totaly different car to the T. Not as quick in a straight line but handles like nothing I'v ever driven. (very little body roll) The brakes are supperb. 221 kw in a 1450 kg body. Bev is still getting used to it (sitting on thr floor ) But at the moment we both enjoy cruising. Hope to cath up with you all on a cruise soon.(that's if you allow gradparents in a Datto along) All the best Bev & Gary P.S. Some pics of the new ride.
  21. Hey Aaron Please send me a pm Regards Gary
  22. Working to bloody hard. Hope to soon get back into cruising, with a bit of luck hope to get back to the mid north coast. Catch up with the crew. Hope all is well Gary.
  23. Their pretty impressive stats. Have you ever been around Wakefield Park, I guess it would fly. that's why I like MX-5's and Ford T's, plenty of affordable after market stuff to make them go, fun to drive and scope to be competitive if you wish. I just want a car that I can toss around on our very narrow, windy roads. Regards Gary
  24. No mate we don't (long story) I'm working for a Wollongong company that has a branch in the Highlands. (IT support company) They supply us with service vehicles, (company cars) I,m lucky I guess I have a Late model camira Wagon as they are switching over to Lancer wagons (fuel costs) I,m lucky I live in an area which has some of the best roads in the country and I travel from Camden to Goulburn. I have found so many great back roads thay I love to drive with a little spirit. All the best Gary. PS. Still think one of the best dives is from Sydney down through the National Park to the Gong and up Macquarie pass and then back to Sydney via the old Hume Higway (Razorback) I do this trip heaps and still love it.
  25. That is a 100% not corect, I have not purchased it yet. (soon I hope) Gary PS !!! What are you doing spying on the MX-5 boys or are you a closet owner.
