Just left the Navy after almost 8 years, now the job hunt begins

Well if it's just an electrical gauge and not a mechanical one check the wiring with a multimeter like a pro
-
-
Idling high and the gauge not reading could be linked to one of the pipes having a vac leak. Depending where the gauge is fed from check all the pipes in the area. I don't have an F6 but I've got mine fed from the blow off valve area and it's clamped off to reduce leakage. Tapping it and having it work sometimes could mean it's leaking at the back of the gauge or it's just had it. If there's no mechanical/boost issues apart from idle which can be a plethora of things I'd start with the gauge.

No info to go off there mate, probably why no one is replying. Your leaning toward the actuator? Why? -Is the car acting like sh*t when gauge isn't working or not? -Do you have your foot down and it's boosting hard or is it slow and feels sluggish? -is the car idling high? -how long has it been doing this? And who put the gauge in?
-
Yeah mate they're the standard ones alright codes match up to the ones I pulled out of mine ages ago. Sounds like he downgraded you and charged ya thinking you wouldn't know any better. The previous ones you had woulda been out of an F6 if they were 42lb. They also would have been green Standard ones are about 20lb

Electric seat? Speakers? Sounds like it would be something electrical seeing as it's when the car is switched to acc.

What made you pop the bonnet in the first place? Was it acting weird? Was it like this? I love that video lol

Can I ask why you aren't going to lawyer up? It looks better than representing yourself even if you are taking the guilty plea, and it's all about looking good. Get some character references saying you are taking this very hard, it's damaging your personal life etc. a lawyer would have already told you this and helped you present yourself better. Mitigation is key. They start at bad and you have to work your way to the good side. Get any letters from any sort of community service you have done, football clubs, school canteens whatever. In 2011 I got done doing >35 2012 I got done doing >45 and lost license on the spot. A few months later I got caught driving suspended and had to front court. I got a lawyer, presented myself well and got the mandatory 12month disqual for driving suspended and a $500 fine. Present yourself well and you will be fine mate

After what these guys have been saying, and if you still are going to get a generic tune, you need to make sure you get the injectors with the tune, or leave the standard ones in. Injectors scale differently. Say your standard ones are idling and opening at 10%. That 10% on a bigger injector will flood the car and it probably won't run. Best off getting all your stuff, booking into a dyno tune, install it all the week leading up to it (don't drive it) and then put it on a trailer/truck to get it there.

F6 > growler because it's over $100 cheaper and has the same results

My old mans one did that before he sold it. Turned out it was the valve springs

My BF MK II was making the stock 200rwkw ~245 at the motor on 4.5psi of boost. There are many like this. You ask if it's normal, then say you know why it's doing it? Just upgrading the actuator to an 8psi one won't increase the boost pressure. But I'm sure you knew that one already too...
-
What he means is standard you should be seeing 4-5psi. Boost spikes are bad news. You've de-restricted the exhaust and now it flows better. Needs new tune

O2 sensors Plugs/coils if not original brand Throttle body Fuel filter sh*t fuel - 100 octane from United makes mine run like a dog with a stick in its arse 98 only Valve springs dying Turbo bolts unwinding themselves for funnies You've got lots of fun fault finding ahead of you friend

Wow I can't see that on my shattered screen iphone lol! Looks good bro, compliment the car well
-
God I hope that's a shopped picture. Wheels are nice but the amount of negative caster on the front and positive on the back would make that thing feel like sh*t while driving.
-
Mmmmm nice xr6 turbo bro... They probably won't wanna join thinking you don't know your cars!

That funny circle thing is meant to be a >

Ill chip in some if you like, it's a good idea. I passed a nice silver optioned up BA today on the monaro on the way home On a side note apparently my BF is spitting the odd flame out of the exhaust when slowing down through gears Might have to get a tune with plenty of anti lag and a chase car! lol

I'm in Sydney for work courses ATM and going to Cerberus (Melbourne) for more this weekend and then back up to Canberra next weekend so I might be all driven out lol! Ill let you know anyways -
Good thing is I was gonna replace both O2 sensors, but the $550 price tag from fRord put me off it
