  1. Dont waste your money, you dont need one.
  2. The XR5 is comming from the fact that its a 5 pot, so its consistant with the other XR naming range. XR5 works for me.
  3. I get between 20-25lts/100k around town (inner city driving) and about 10lts/100km on the Hwy. I never get 300ks out of tank, so Id be happy if I were you
  4. A few Pics here. The Focus XR5 is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine and produces 166 kilowatts of power and 320Nm. The HSV VXR has a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine but has 176 kilowatts of power and 320Nm and larger, 19-inch wheels. I think if they keep it in the low $40k area it should do ok, although I would still buy a Golf GTI over it.
  5. Apparently another crew is operating the same scam in Adelaide, the only difference is they are two old guys and have been very successful with taxi drivers.
  6. I think the only parallel you can draw between the two cars is that they both have similar performance in a straight line, but that’s where it stops. Build quality, technology levels, and safety in the BMW would leave the blue oval product well behind. If in the year 2015 you have the choice between a 2005 M5 and a F6, I think your choice would be very simple! (the M5 would almost certainly still start)

    How about "RACEME"
  8. Id like to see them drive the car in front of the engines and see what happens - ha ha
  9. Fark, 14l/100k's - I dont have an edit and I get 20+. By my math, a $1000 edit would pay for itself in about 50 weeks. I gotta do it, now where to find a grand, what can I sell...........

I agree. (on both counts) ha ha
  11. I haven't found a Servo with the stuff yet. Must be available to a select few.
  12. Hi guys, I'll be in Canberra over X-mas, driving up 23rd, driving out 29th, so if you see a AgHg MK2 with a boof head behind the wheel, say G'day Cheers
  13. I used to live in Kingston, top spot, especially if your after somewhere central close to what little night life canberra has. I think that the geographical center of canberra is Woden so burbs like Swinger Hill are also good (I lived there also for a while.....swing,,swing....schwing!!) Keep coming south mate.
  14. Well done, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
  15. Sorry Matt, but it's not getting me excited. I think it needs to extend over the rear quater panels to square up the back end. So long as you like it - good for you. It definately makes your XR look original.
  16. Awsome mate, fantastic color choice - couldn't have done better IMO. BTW - I dunno about the blue stripe on the side skirt. Maybe your first mod is to have that removed ha ha

  22. Hi, My T had its 15000km service last week. I was suposed to have a wheel rotation - Service department says - not required - No discount applied! but they did charge me for a wheel alignment - Thanks guys. BTW the rears have about 15% less rubber on them (for obvious reasons - I thought they needed it! Got a warrante re-flash - why? nothing was wrong with it to start with, and I have no idea what the change is - not explained. I have noticed that the manual mode on the auto is a bit slower now. Still cant stop the handbreak rub Didn't stamp the Book - that's just anoying. I wonder why I'll ever take it back!
  23. Thanks Bugster. Apparently you can get 50mm lowering springs for the front by not recommended. Eibach also make springs to suit the T but they are double the price, they are however cold bent as opposed to hot like the Kings so they are a much better quality. I've been quoted $380 installed plus $65 for frnt/bck wheel alignment. sound good enough and cheap enough for me.
  24. Welcome. There is a great thread on the forum about running in. Bugged if I can find it in a search. Keep looking. Oil - I changed at 1000kms
  25. Hi guys, Ive dusted off the cobwebs on this thread to ask anoth question as I'm about to do the springs; Those of you who have SSL's in the front - have you also installed the camber kit and if not are your front tyres chopping up? I think I'll be going SL's in the front (lowered by about 30mm) and SSL's in the back (lowered by 50mm) At least that's ex-spirt advice. Thanks
