  1. Yeah I've seen a body kit for the Terry, looks nice http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/ContentServ...4&c=DFYPage Click on "Body Styling Pack", and further down "Spoiler"
  2. Sure it wasn't a TT with a body kit and an FPV sticker?
  3. How about the RACV?
  4. Nah RB 26
  5. Get your wallet out then! http://www.nissan.com.au/navaradual07/
  6. The problem you are facing is that you are comparing two completely different cars (as you are no doubt aware). You are going from AWD light weight "go-kart" steering car that pretty much drives wherever you point the thing, to a fairly heavy, rear wheel drive car with plenty of body roll (compared with the rex) and a car that you pretty much have to actually drive! A modified T feels just like a T, but the boost and power comes on much harder and the point between traction and slip is much finer (most well tuned T's can break traction in 2nd and 3rd gear roll-on in a straight line). As others will tell you, go drive one... but knowing what most of us know you will not regret getting an edit. Every time you drive it will feel like the first time you drove it.
  7. The traction control switch sends a signal to the PCM (notice it's a momentary switch like the boot and fuel cap, as opposed to the fog light switch which has a definite on-off position) To make this go "the other way" you would need to get your PCM flashed with the TC function disabled.............. ..But the day you wish it was on is probably the day you will be lucky to live to regret it
  8. To drift you need clutch control, there is no doubt about it. If you wish to powerslide, just make sure you control it so you dont hit the limiter. Being that the ratios are quite close I reckon you will have a fair bit of difficulty unless you are doing a bit of speed and manage to break traction holding 3rd.
  9. That is your knock sensor retarding the timing because it is leaning the engine out... put it this way when you accelerate, the fuel in your tank has to "catch up" and collect at the rear of the tank. This can mean the pickup isn't completely covered by fuel and can suck air, causing your engine to run lean. If you do this for too long watch out for the big BANG! It happens to most cars and can be overcome by having a surge tank, but this is a fairly big job to install. Just make sure your tank is at least 1/2 full when you decide to boot it
  10. Awesome so breakfast is a go-er. I will make a tentative booking on friday for the 22nd for 15 people, unless there are any more breakfast additions before friday!
  11. I would do my own car if I had an enclosed garage, all the necessary tools and a spare few hours on the weekend (and of course a few coldies in the fridge), but the ~$140 I give to centre ford I think is reasonable for a scheduled service, and anything over and above this requires my approval. I did my own brake flush the other week, pretty easy to do. I will probably do my own gearbox oil flush one day... since it's been so good to me (touch wood)
  12. Ah awesome, I was gonna ask if someone could do a recon for us! Thanks Zoran Have you had brekky there before? The reviews were pretty good.
  13. Yeah well I had enough dramas with them a whole ago, but the thing is they have the big blue oval out the front, you expect them to carry the level of service to the same standard across the country. Ford should step in on these places and get their act together! The main problem is unless a written quote is requested in the first place, a service department can basically do what they want and charge you for it as you haven't said specifically "dont do work unless I approve it" (which is what I always say, but Lisa possibly didnt)
  14. Cool, the list is getting longer Spread the word guys!
  15. I just want everyone on this forum, especially WA members, know about an experience with this AHG Ford dealer. My partner has a 2001 Ford HE Mondeo 2L. It was due for a service and has done over 100000km. The other night it went into Limp Mode (speed limited to 60km/h and wouldn't change gear), so to avoid the hassle of driving to the city where I normally get my car serviced, we booked it in at Nuford Wangara which is all of 2km away. They said they would have a look and let us know what needed to be done. Lisa gets a phone call today, with a quote for over $1000. They had already completed their "Major Service" which was $760 alone So instead of actually letting us know what it would cost before completing the work, they had already set to charge us for all that! Going through the list there were things like "pollen filter - $78, spark plugs - $110 (which I had replaced 6 months ago ), air filter (which I also replaced 6 months ago) $80 odd, gearbox oil change.............. the list goes on. I want to know what right a service department has to carry out this work without first a quote of the cost of what they will be doing, and secondly consent of the owner to complete it!!? Basically, I want to tell everyone to never go to Nuford for service, and for you all to tell everyone you know never to go there either unless they hate money! Talk about extortion!
  16. Yeah he lives in Hillarys
  17. List: Steve Kieran Silhoutte6T IEATV8S + 1 Ninka Add yourselves
  18. I'm not gonna organise a long arse cruise because chances are it will be raining and difficult to keep the group together. I am looking at a bit of a cruise around some city sights, try and do a bit of a round trip and end up at the Rose and Crown in Guildford for some refreshments and a light lunch. After this we can do a lap through the swan valley and dispurse from here (depending on everyone's opinion after a couple of beers!) What do you think?
  19. Updated the first post :oohwoah:
  20. Well there you go! Twice confirmed there is a black T with a scoop!
