  1. Holy crap big job, pcm, bem, abs, ic, him, rcm, icc, the car would have to have the same diff ratio and wheels etc but even still if your changing the abs module you would have to do a service bleed which can only be done by a dealer... What are you tryin to achieve by doing this? Also because you would have a different ignition barrel and different keys you would need to swap barrels so you could use the keys from the other car or take it to ford and get them to program the original keys to the new pcm
  2. Ah the old adage you get what you pay for... We deal with chery (not for much longer) their build quality is sh*t warranty isnt worth the paper its written on, they rust before delivery could go on forever they are built on a budget by cheap labour where as fords build quality locally has moved forward in leaps and bounds and they are built in high tech factories whos workers are paid well (usually) and are skilled at what they do.... I know which country id rather live in and which car id rather spend my hard earned on
  3. Yep sounds like battery is shot test and replace
  4. Rhf cooler pipes rub on the xmember sometimes and can cause a big split
  5. Optional on g6e standard on g6et.... Op said g6eT in title and g6e in post im confused lol
  6. Not necessarily, if there is a box underneath the pouch then maybe the cord is missing but its not factory standard on all g6es
  7. Yeh any ford dealer, as far as full ipod functionality via usb I dont think there is anything available for ba/bf unless you have aftermarket icc setup or headunit etc
  8. All normal
  9. If you have overheated it the oil will expand so much that it comes out the breather deffinitely get a cooler and new oil and filter if its not completely fooked
  10. Auxilary booster kit is about 60 bucks from any dealer, takes 15 min to fit
  11. Yep common complaint unfortunately its normal pcm calibrations may change things a little but its mostly turbo lag, unavoidable... And do NOT use bio diesel even though it says bio5 or 10 is ok stay away from the sh*t
  12. Basically it comes down to their australian operations not being sustainable, iv seen pretty much all you can possibly see of ford from the plant at broadmeadows right thru to research and development in geelong and its really impressive but god damn expensive to maintain, obviously Expensive Daewoo are doing something wrong to keep needing bailouts
  13. Yep aussie I emailed them a couple days ago and same thing, sending out new lines and return bag, great service cant complain
  14. You can but they dont breathe better, they are non flammable so they dont catch on fire from lpg backfires, just get the k&n
  15. all xr6t's have exhaust and intake manifold bolts tightened as part of every service, on an fg its easier but still involves intake pipe and heat shield removal to get at all the exhaust bolts properly, you would be getting capped price servicing and 360 sounds about right
  16. thanks jvk, yep spring changes are relatively easy on car, even easier if you have a hoist will post up pics when I fit my ported housing in a week or so, il be using a 10psi spring to start with, they come with a 7 psi spring installed so I can couple them together to have a 17psi spring if I want to down the track! bit worried about how long my engine will last at this level but clint thinks it should be ok for a while... wel see
  17. Have you got a towbar? If so check the towbar wiring at the plug
  18. Had a look at mine this avo its a crimp one bought off fittings2u and yep its leaking out of the crimp just after the filter on turbo side, 2 months old
  19. I relocated my battery on monday 5m welders cable 100 Battery box 22 Earth lead 15 Terminals and lugs 30 Took about an hour and a half and used standard battery starts perfectly, il be fitting a plazmaman 4" intake in a week.... Keep your earth cable as short as possible and run the Positive cable from starter motor to boot then cut the original positive terminal off and fit a lug and mount it to the fusebox, piece of piss
  20. relocated my battery to the boot on monday all went well starts perfectly, fitted my surge tank this avo again all went well here are a couple of pics of my parts pile (minus actuator cos I forgot to put it in the pic doh) and surge tank fitted, tuner is going away for 2 weeks so il wait a week or so before I fit the rest
  21. Unless magically the oil from the filter gets by the hole for the shaft in the throttle body a k and n filter cant affect a tps, I think maybe they meant MAP sensor lol
  22. 60lb dekas flow twice what the factory injectors do hence their duty cycle is much smaller for any given light throttle situation and the economy software doesnt know you have bigger injectors fitted so it thinks your using way less fuel than you actually are so in general it will always show a lower economy reading,
  23. I work for ford and saw the fg mk2 mid last year for the first time and have been a bit skeptical of the current evolution but I gota say that photoshop looks tough as, hope yours turns out exactly like that!!! Awesome look
  24. What a load of sh*t lazybrennan, im a mechanic an a ford dealer mechanic at that and on the rare occasion that we f*ck up we go absolutely out of our way to rectify the problem and ensure the customer is happy and returns to us for future service, without our customers we wouldnt get paid plain and simple, a rag left in the engine if its proven you were the last to work on te car its your responsibility to rectify the problem, not all mechanics are scum just in it for money most of us are proud of what we do and without us most of you wouldnt have the cars you have, dont generalise
